Overall the service is simple to use and documentation can be improved slightly to make it more easy for newbie programmers to implement. They should include some sample codes to call their API's in popular backend programming languages like Python, Go, Php etc.

I used the Person Data API for the purpose of testing some promotional mailers about my upcoming services/business. I found the data to be mostly accurate as I received some click conversions on the links I had sent to the emails. I had received almost 10-15% of conversions on the total emails so data seems to be authentic and updated. I had used their API's in Python framework but their solutions is language independent.

There should be a flag which indicates whether contact details like phone numbers are verified or not. I am not really sure how they aggregate the data but some mechanism to verify the same and return only verified persons details in the response makes sense as their pricing is a bit on the medium to high range but given the amount of metadata/person returned it seems valid.

I enjoyed this product. I will continue to use it. Very affordable in comparison to other solutions.

I loved how I didn't have to interact with sales staff to setup high monthly rate limits for getting company firmographics. Dealing with sales team at Apollo is a nightmare.

The rate limit on people search is prohibitive.

Highly recommend People Data Labs for your data enrichment. I would love to see my email marketing software integrate with you.

There was so much information available I didn't realize. I was able to enrich my list to better target and monetize my list.

It is a bit technical to use so if you're not a techie be prepared to learn something new.

Overall, positive experience. Like I said, tool does what you'd expect. It was super easy to integrate with Zapier, and I never ran into problems with it. I think if you're looking for an API that you can pull personal data from, it's a solid choice.

I built a recruiting pipeline using PDL. I integrated with Zapier and fed in LinkedIn profiles in order to pull email address for candidates so we could get in touch. The tool worked exactly as expected, the free tier for the number of requests you can send in per month is very generous. I eventually did pay for more usage, but was able to get quite a long way without paying.

Not many negatives. As I said, the tool does what it's supposed to. you won't always get the data you're looking for, but it's hard to fault the tool for that. I suppose a negative would be I never used any of their other products, just the personal data set

Very great experience. have been very happy. We use the data for marketing, prospecting, and for recruiting. Highly recommend.

Amazing product, and if you have the cash, its worth it, but it is very expensive. If there are other price tiers with would be better.

Gets all the information perfectly and can find items other cant. Similar to things like Clearbit. The integration with make.com is awesome as well.

The price is the only thing, it is more expensive than Hunter, Lusha and Clearbit connect combined which means we connect the others.

Their team was awesome to work with and truly worked as a partner to understand our need. They continued to engage with us on our timeline and didn't overly push along the way.

It was super easy to get started with their sample datasets, and when it came time to integrate, everything went without a hitch.

If I had to nitpick, the price is a bit high for their data.

PDL has become one of my "go to" tools when I'm stumped for a new lead. No tool is perfect, but PDL provides a lead or two when other tools come up empty.

Ease of use. Ability to pivot from one data point to connections with others quickly and take investigation to next step. I'm not a bulk user trying to build up lists of sales leads. I'm generally investigating or looking for leads on one or more persons. PDL often finds connections other tools do not.

Lack of visibility into algorithms. When I get a connection between data point A and data point B, I need some visibility into how the connection was made in order to evaluate its importance and explain it to clients. I understand that PDL operates in a competitive space and needs the ability to protect trade secrets. But a little more visibility would be helpful.

I've really enjoyed working with their team and product. I don't have any complaints and the data we've got so far is top notch and high quality.

API was super simple and straightforward to use. All of our integrations get matches on people data enrichment. It's not cheap, but it's a quality offering.

We are finding more ways each day to integrate the PDL data into our systems and workflows. Making it easier to verify, source and screen talent.

One of the easiest ways to leverage people data in building a marketplace or HR/recruiting platform. You can easily query the database to find talent that aren't easily accessible through traditional sourcing methods.

I like the fact they are starting to integrate with no-code tools as that was one of my initial challenges. If you have development experience that shouldn't be a problem.

Great! I will definitely use it in a future iteration, especially if you are building your own version of an ad targeting platform.

I really like it, simple set up, easy to use API. Pay as you go model is fantastic. Free trial so you can test before you buy.

If you are not familiar with writing code or simple API scripts, you probably need an engineer to help.

I like everything but the price. It’s hard for a small company to get started especially if they need a premium datapoint.

I felt like I’m part of the FBI while using the tool, I could get information about anyone, their email addresses, phone number information, and even literally their house address. Of course it’s not 100% of the time you get all the info, but it’s pretty dope for growth hackers looking to build their lead list and cold call!

It’s really great resource! I mean you got just get information of people just like that! The best part is. You could get peoples phone numbers just by plugging in email address and LinkedIn Info.

PDL is just okay to use as a secondary platform to gather data on contacts that you need, but will not fulfill needs for the recruitment space.

As a recruiting firm, we constantly look for fresh applicants to apply for our jobs, we used PDL as a secondary data source and found a couple candidates for some of our harder positions were exhausted.

However, we could not use it as a primary sourcing tool as it is not specifically built for recruiting. Yes, it has a candidate portion, but often times these folk are over qualified for the role or are not actively looking for work.

Overall the product is simple to use and provide good meta data about any person.
Price is still a bit of concern for me and honestly the pricing is still not business friendly for small businesses to integrate this.

You can easily consume their people search API in your choice of programming language which returns json format results of people's meta data which can be used. The api has the capability to access various parameters like geography etc which makes the search easier and return only use case relevant information.

I was trying to use the API for the purpose of creating a job board where I can send invite to these people about the various hiring processes so I observed that there is no way for me to know from the return API results whether a given candidate is open to work or not. The data points should have a flag value which indicates whether the user returned is open to work or not. This will help recruiters to send relevant invite to applicable persons from the returned list of people.

Overall I really like People Data Labs. They offer a free tier to test out the service so you can see for yourself the value of their service.

I like that I can have company enrichment and person datasets - this gives us a complete picture of a person's profile. The API is also well documented making it easy for a developer to integrate. One of my favorite features is being able to input the URL of a social media profile and get back person-level details when it finds a match.

The match rates are decent but not as high as I would hope for. I also think their pricing is a little high.

I would say it is a good alternative product to find data, but does not do very well as a primary source. My business is specifically in the recruitment marketing, so it may work for others but not for our needs.

Data is pretty good and accurate, easy to setup and use if you know a little code and how to use similar software.

It’s very hard to read without a proper user interface or at least a way of sorting the data into readable code.

Overall, would highly recommend People Data Labs to anyone trying to look for a combined "people data" repository.

Love working with People Data Labs data. We use it primarily to get email addresses and contact information, but it also comes with a lot of other helpful data (predicted gender, past work history, social media profile handles, etc.). In addition, it's very easy to use from the development standpoint -- API documentation is great and they are very communicative about changes to the API. Finally, for the price, we haven't seen another contact information vendor that comes close to the quality; very happy overall!

Only wish was that it was easier to add more API requests to your plan easily rather than talking to the sales team every time; but I get that this is part of the pricing and packaging.

I love PDL Data, It's consistently updating it's data, I have been using PDL Data every time whenever I'll be needing more data for prospecting accounts or leads.
