    Obsolete. Better alternatives available

    Date: Feb 16 2024
    Summary

Would look for alternatives. SAP has a reputation for being expensive in purchase and maintenance.

    Positive

It is robust and offers what should be available for consolidation/budgeting functionality. Have been a while since I used the product. Maybe it is better now.

    Negative

Have been working with number of FP&A/EPM tools and disliked this tool the most.

Like almost any of the SAP suite it requires a lot of maintenance. Looks old fashioned and is not really doing the job.

Also at the time it was on-premises/private cloud only. Look for a SaaS solution for this.

    The standard consolidation ERP software

    Date: Nov 30 2021
    Summary

It almost functions as a standalone ERP and is quick to process several thousand lines of data at one go.

    Positive

SAP BPC integrates well as a financial management software, with powerful consolidation, rollup and budgeting features.

    Negative

The GUI appears extremely dated and is prone to timeout and crashes. The module also does not come cheap!
