What is SEAL?
SEAL offers a secure service for transferring various file types, including documents, media, design assets, datasets, and archives via temporary links. The web application ensures files are encrypted in the user's browser before they are uploaded, while local encryption is handled through a command-line interface (CLI). Users have the flexibility to set parameters such as expiration dates, passwords, single-use access, download limits, and NDA requirements, and they can also review a signed access log and revoke access at any time. Recipients can easily access shared links through their browsers without the necessity of creating an account. Moreover, SEAL includes a range of features such as a Telegram bot, a Mini App, a CLI, an SDK, an HTTP API, and a local standard input/output MCP server. AI agents can either share or request files and sensitive information, and once a connection is established, files can be directed to a SEAL inbox where the agent receives a handle instead of a conventional link. The Telegram bot performs file encryption on the host device, enabling chat attachments to be processed through Telegram’s system, while the Mini App handles encryption directly on the user's device. Each seal allows for the transfer of files up to 1 GB and remains active for a duration of seven days, with one-time upgrades available to enhance capacity and prolong the seal's lifespan; however, individual files must not exceed a size of 10 GB. In this manner, SEAL serves as a comprehensive and secure file-sharing platform designed to meet the diverse needs of its users, ensuring both convenience and security in the transfer process. Additionally, the platform's user-friendly interface and robust security measures make it an attractive choice for individuals and businesses alike.
