PositiveLooks pretty and that is about all it has going for it. Plenty of white space and it is a good clean looking interface.
NegativeDoesn't work well and has usability bugs. Issues with the address map. Issues with zip code validation. Issues with phone number validation. Issues with configured discounts not being added.

Updated: Mar 23 2024SummaryI purchased a gift magazine subscription and had it mailed directly to the recipient. A few days later, I ordered coffee online from a vendor I have been using for years. Several days later I got a call saying that my coffee had been delivered to the wrong person at the wrong address because it was sent to the magazine gift recipient. I checked my account at the coffee vendor, and ShopPay had BROKEN INTO MY ACCOUNT AND CHANGED MY DEFAULT NAME AND ADDRESS. It wasn't until I contacted the coffee vendor that I realized that: a) ShopPay was the 3rd-party payment collector in both cases and that b) ShopPay was STALKING ME ACROSS THE WEB. I never agreed to do business with ShopPay, I knew nothing about them till this happened. I complained the BBB in Canada (Shopify is a Canadian corporation) and Shopify just blew me off. They didn't care one whit.
PositiveNothing. I'm not sure why I have to fill out the Pros section because I have absolutely nothing positive to say about Shopify or ShopPay. As far as I am concerned, they should be charged with Criminal Stalking on the internet.

Misrepresented costs!

NegativeI bought a Blaze Pod set up and no where was there any indication that it was in USD. Being from Canada it cost me hundreds of dollars in exchange and import brokerage fee that were never disclosed.

Updated: Jul 13 2023SummaryThe payments were set up on automatic, and linked to Affirm, but would not process for this particular product purchased through ShopPay.
I already had existing purchases being paid on Affirm.
I made this purchase, using the same debit card, and while the first payment went through okay, none of the following payments would process!!! I'd keep getting errors saying my card was declined, they told me to call the bank so I called the bank, all good there, so I made the call back to ShopPay, and they processed my overdue payment over the phone, and then they reassured me my payments were on auto, and all should be good now. Next payment comes along and it's declined! Go thru the same inconvenient process to get the payment made, and I expressed my concern about making future payments, and they say all should be good. Well guess what, the next payment due was declined again, I even used 3 different cards! Anyway, at this point, on that last call, I decided to just pay off the balance because I was getting declined for a new Affirm purchase that said I had an overdue payment!!!
I just wanted to be done with them. The last representative I spoke to said there was an unusual issue with the processor, and she apologized. That's it, nothing else she could do.
And sure enough, as I expected, I've now been completely declined for the shoes I've been needing to buy for work!
They say all looks good on their end, that maybe it's my credit or something else 😏 🤔 🤨😒 Uh No sir! 😳 Ugh!
It is just so disappointing to be told that nothing can be done. We all know we're just a number in the back ground of running your credit and purchasing things online, so the system doesn't understand issues like this, so it's just a terrible lesson learned. I would wish this incident on no one!! Fraudulent purchase and they don't care

PositiveNot one dang thing. They didn't listen. They cannot grasp that even the item in question said that I didn't buy the item. They canceled the order, but I guess Shop Pay must get to keep the money that they decide is a "legitimate" purchase.

NegativeI will never take out a loan with Shop Pay again. I placed an order on a product on July 3rd. I didn’t receive the product until a month later and when I received the product, it was in poor condition. When it was time to dispute the product, shop pay window had closed for me to dispute the case so I took it up with my credit card company for a charge back since the merchant ignored my emails to return the product back. Well, Shop pay’s customer service is extremely poor! Not only did they not dispute the matter with the merchant, but I’m stuck with a debt and bill I should not be obligated to pay! Shop pay has done nothing to resolve this issue so I can get my money back.

Shop Pay will not accept electronic check or credit card for an installment payment on purchases I have made several months ago. It was done with Affirm who will not either since Shop Pay is involved. Unbelievable.

They said my account is linked to an email and credit card that are different than ALL of the purchasing and billing emails that I have received. I am now receiving daily collections texts and they still can't find an account linked to the emails that they're OWN statements are being sent to. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!

I confirmed with their support that there is a 'limitation' on my account. I have a credit score over 800 and am a credit card balance payer. I think they only want unstable people who are going to break their payments into 4 so they can make more money on them. Seems like a predatory practice to me. -
