I love StreamYard! I use it exclusively, 4 times a week.
At least 4 times a week I go live and sometimes more often, and StreamYard has been very easy to use.

Easiest functionality.
Cloud based.
Simple to understand.
Adding overlays.
The various camera views and layouts are easily interchangeable.

Not much creative control as Ecamm for example, beyond backgrounds and overlays. Not comparable with stream deck.
Would love to have a control board where you can see everything without clicking-so being able read comments without leaving the overlay section.

Since it came out, there have been multiple "clones" that popped up, even copying the UI and features. That's ok and it shows that StreamYard is doing something right AND setting the trend for web-based online streaming. StreamYard is easy to pick-up, even for first time users and guests.

StreamYard is easy to use, reliable, and delivers the best value-for-money. What's more, the strong community support and interaction gives rise to new features that have made this streaming solution a no-brainer.

Initially, it was pricing -- but thanks to the occasional promos, the annual cost for a Pro Plan are the lowest around. Also, I wish there was a way to better assign user rights even on a Pro Plan, as creating weekly online shows involve not just one person or host... you need one for your co-host, the showrunner, to name a few. So instead of giving other people "full" rights, you can just limit them to what they are meant to do.

It is the most easy tool for streaming in the world.. the speed of launch of new features is good enough.

Increase to 4 the number of channels per professional account like mine.. My actual plan has just 3.

The design about script could improve.

Overall, StreamYard is awesome and makes it super easy to create a multi-camera setup for live-streaming on location.

I totally like StreamYard. I am motivated to learn more techniques and to improve more so i can teach physical education well.

Streaming using StreamYard is easy to use or user friendly... 2 days ago, I tried teaching my physical education class using StreamYard... even though I've used different applications and tabs to present, i can easily navigate... and at the same time i hosted the interview.. am motivated to do more live streaming for my class.

Streaming with background music is a little challenging for me.

It is an excellent platform! I am canceling my subscription with another streaming service. Love that it user friendly and that I can go live on 3 sites with the basic plan.

I host a talk show and recently tried StreamYard after using another streaming application for almost two years. It is easy to use. The best part is the ease in playing my brand's video before my interviews. No more sharing a screen to do so as with another streaming service! Love it!

Further, it is a plus that we can share our guests' names and even a ticker tape. I am still learning. My first live went without a hitch.

This is not a major con but when guests share their screen, I have to admit their screen into the studio.

This is probably the best web-platform-based option available at this price point for shows looking to handle guests. It has solid re-stream options, the ability to upload overlays and branding, and handles most situations with reliable results, which is why it is relatively easy to use for newbies. However anyone with broadcast experience quickly sees the limitations: the GUI does not adhere to broadcast standard (there is still no dark mode!); the platform is hampered by slow and uneven development; there is a lack of broadcast options backstage; and there is inexcusably poor audio quality, especially when paying for 1080HD streams that only have 128kpbs audio.

This is a relatively easy-to-use browser interface for basic broadcasting, allowing for multiple guests from different locations, with decent restream options to most major platforms including Twitch and YouTube. For basic users, such as podcasters and church broadcasts, it probably has all you need: backstage guest management, integrated chat across multiple platforms, overlay libraries, and easy click-options to add and remove guests and screen content. As I write in Nov 2021, hotkeys have just been added as a beta feature, which (finally) gives users the ability to integrate with StreamDeck and enhance ease-of-use.

Development on StreamYard is very slow. Hotkeys took over two years to implement; the feature was so requested it was in the FAQ. Audio quality is also poor; StreamYard only outputs at a paltry 128kpbs, which introduces audio glitching as Twitch and YouTube output at 256kpbs, making this platform a poor choice for musicians or concerts. Many recent changes to the interface and storage options were not well thought-out, with almost immediately users asking for fixes. The GUI still needs a lot of work; if Facebook boots you from the restream, a series of pop-ups *cover the broadcast screen* requiring multiple clicks to resolve (which is a big no-no in broadcasting, and undermines the "ease of use" principles SY says it embraces). Many basic principles of broadcasting found in other solutions are not implemented, which is strange: there is no on-screen audio monitoring or volume adjustment; the backstage host also cannot control guest audio mute/unmute if the guest clicks on their mute button first (which shows how SY is unsure whether their platform is _really_ for broadcasters who are _legally_ responsible for guest content); there are no picture-in-picture inset options; there is no dark mode (most broadcasting/video software is by default black/grey for a reason); and there is no ability to loop uploaded video. The lack of basic audio monitoring and backstage control over the broadcasting process limits SY's use and reach.

I'm a videographer and pretty new to StreamYard. A client asked me to find a platform for monthly live webinars, typically with just two panelists. I looked at Zoom Webinars, as they had already tried it. In the end, StreamYard seemed like a good fit.

We're actually going to use the record only feature. From there, I'll download the video and edit it in Premiere, which give me really nice flexibility with lower thirds, titles, colors, etc. We'll then upload the video to YouTube as a Premiere event, schedule it and promote it on social media.

There are several things to like.

Being a cloud-based platform is a real plus, both in terms of accessibility and from a security perspective, as some industries restrict downloading software to their systems (Financial services, etc.)

The ease of inviting participants with a simple link , and not requiring them to have an account, is a real plus.

The ability for me to host an event without being seen onscreen is terrific, as is the ability to easily add/remove participants from the studio on the fly.

I'd like to see the design side beefed up.

While creating full-screen overlays with a transparent background is workable, it would be great to be able to use smaller assets and arrange them where you want.

It would be nice to have an option on where the logo is placed.

When I host an event, I can share my screen (images, video, PowerPoint) even though I'm not visible online - so far, so good. I'd love to have the flexibility to select one participant from the panel to appear next to the screen share. At this point, only the panelist in the "first" position (top or left) can be shown as a single panelist with screen share. This would be a terrific feature.

This is an excellent platform and made livestreaming easily accessible to everyone. Thanks StreamYard! I’ve been using it since last year and approaching our 100th show.

-Ease of use: everything is intuitive, you can figure out your way around it in less than 30 minutes even if you have no previous experience.
-Active community: any questions, feature requests, workarounds are widely shared in the Facebook group, and we get direct responses from people working there
-Continuous improvement: since I started using in May 2020, there have been a ton of enhancements that have been done. You get the sense that they are really listening to their users. My favorite so far are bulk upload of assets and stereo audio.

-Certain limitations such as ability to change fonts or upload lower thirds. I’m not a huge fan of the existing 4 styles, so most of the time I create lower thirds of my own, then need to switch overlays etc for 2-cam setups. If I could upload my lower thirds or at least change the fonts for the presets, it would make my life easier. Not a biggie though.

Overalls I am so thankful for StreamYard and it helped me take my channel from 100 or so subs and I am about to break 100 in less than 8 months!

I live how StreamYard helps me build an online community that is genuine and engaging. Live-streaming with stream is user friendly and lifts so many of the stresses that come running a live show! Eg: text, branding, screen sharing

Sometimes I wish there was more details on layout choices. Like if you share the full screen but have a box at the bottom your ticker will cover part of your box.

Great easy to use resilient streaming platform. Have not had any issues or glitches caused by the software! Best out there!

Very easy to use and awesome functionality - SY team staying in loop with users and listening and making improvements based on user input ! Continuous new features. The ability to multi stream to many diverse platforms.

No multi cam ability without 4rd party tools. No support for SRT or HLS destinations. No on screen audio level monitoring for guest for the hosts. Would be nice to have built in audio mixing similar to voicemeeter.

I am not a major techie but needed to get my club meetings online during the pandemic. StreamYard works as both a basic easy way to get broadcasting fast as a video newbie , and allows you to produce more professional looking broadcasts as you learn or if you have advanced skills already. The fact that I can live broadcast or record an edited video is the best of both worlds. And having a free version, allows for trying it out without any anxiety. My guests have quickly taken to the system with a quick run through.

I dislike having to navigate the menu and click on the various features, to use them. I'd prefer to be able to set up my most used features in one view.

Extremely happy, Have tried others and just keep coming back to Stream Yard. The ease of use and the fact that it even works on a Chromebook makes this a winner. Have used it on PC, Mac, and Chromebook

So far, the ease of use and stability. Also, the weekly updates from the creators.

Waiting for Teams and the ability to add music. Anxious for those to things to be implemented.

StreamYard is the best live streaming service out there. Very easy to use. Even a 5 year old can do it. StreamYard goes beyond and above to help other user level up their live streams.

Overall the community and platform itself is what keeps this the best product out there. It's easy to use and understand and can be easily tailored to whatever your needs.

It's easy to use to get set up. The community around StreamYard is also amazing. They really listen to you. I love that as a complete beginner I have been able to set up a weekly show and grow it.

For practicality some of the features aren't available on certain plans and due to audience, or show type, it means that you wouldn't benefit from a lot of the other features.
One example is that for pre recorded streams you are capped at 1 hour. I had to pay extra as this wasn't explained prior to recording. A small thing but could be easily fixed.

The experience with StreamYard has been very good, it allows me to work with various programs and content. And taking into account the price and what I can do is good. They always have room to improve and they are doing it.

The platform is very friendly for anyone, allowing a unique experience for all.

They can improve the handling of animated overlay or lower third.

I've tried melon app and sure it is nice you can give a better presentation to your broadcasting but StreamYard has given stability on streaming, from 100 videos I stream just one time I had problem but solved immediately.

You guys need to add better things for users, what competitors are giving somehow, not everybody understand the quality is price.

Easy to use, everything is placed for fast location on screen. I love when videos ends you can download almost immediately.

Better overlays for screen we just have a few.
Brand colors to be different than chats.
Banners to be able to place then transparent.

Best. Livestreaming. Platform. Ever!! It's so easy to use. The online support and the facebook community are also amazing. I've learned so much from the StreamYard community.

I love that StreamYard is so user friendly. I like to think I'm techie, but I'm not really. However, StreamYard makes is so easy to livestream to multiple platforms at once and the platform itself makes me look like a techie. I've received so many compliments on how cool my livestreams look.

Um...there's nothing I don't like about StreamYard.

My company appreciates the updates and improvements that StreamYard offers, along with the various tutorial/help desk programs that are provided to offer additional tips and support.

With the impact of the pandemic and the need to reach my constituents in a virtual space, this platform took my simple streaming to a whole new level. With just a few clicks, we were able to stream on multiple platform, respond to comments in real-time and engage with our community. This new interaction has expanded our reach, to now offer our clients, increased product exposure and lively and meaningful conversation. We love the features of screen sharing and video uploads that provide us with that professional, polished talk show feel.

I can't sat that there is anything that I don't like about StreamYard.
