What is Sublime Text?

An exceptionally sophisticated text editor tailored for programming, markup, and general writing tasks. The Goto Anything feature allows for swift navigation to files with minimal keystrokes, enabling you to jump to symbols, lines, or particular words with ease. This editor empowers you to execute multiple edits at once, eliminating the need to apply the same change repeatedly. Thanks to its multiple selections feature, you can seamlessly alter several lines simultaneously, rename variables effortlessly, and manage files far more efficiently than you might have imagined. The Command Palette unlocks access to less commonly utilized features, including sorting, syntax tweaks, and indentation changes. By simply typing a few keys, you can precisely locate what you require without the frustration of sifting through menus or memorizing intricate key combinations. Furthermore, Sublime Text offers a powerful Python API that facilitates the creation of plugins to augment its built-in features. With the convenience of installing Package Control via the command palette, users can easily tap into a vast array of community-developed packages that further enhance the editor's capabilities. This makes it not just a functional tool, but an essential asset for anyone aiming to optimize their coding or writing workflow. Indeed, its versatility and user-friendly design contribute to making it a preferred choice among developers and writers alike.

I have started using Sublime Text when I was in college. It is a very easy software to use and support by providing support by prompting syntax-based suggestions while coding. (+) Syntax highlighting and suggestions are very accurate.
(+) Support for many known programming languages.
(+) Find replace functionality is very good.
(+) Color schemes are very great.

    Negative

(-) Does not work as a full level IDE.
(-) Plugin support can be improved.
(-) Currently sublime does not save the work automatically which is a problem.
(-) Formatting can be hard in the case of a large file.

The lightest and the most visually pleasing text editor there is!

    Date: May 23 2020
    Summary

I've been using Sublime Text as my default text editor for years now and it's always a pleasure to use it. I have not migrated despite a plethora of editors being released since then. Great job developers!

    Positive

    - Sublime Text is super lightweight and loads with no lag unlike visual studio or eclipse.
    - Works with a tonne of different file formats and programming languages.
    - It has the best look and feel among other editors and has lots of customization options, themes, and color schemes.
The inbuilt package manager can be used to add any new feature in seconds. There is a vibrant community of developers creating new features all the time.
    - Git integration feature also works pretty great
    - Vim integration is also quite amazing for those migrating from vim.

    Negative

    - I believe Sublime Text is not built to manage entire projects as it has a default build support only for a few languages like python. It's not a very seamless experience to set up the build system for other languages on Sublime Text.
    - It does not have the features of a full-fledged IDE.
