What is Trinity POS?
Trinity POS is an all-encompassing software solution tailored for school nutrition management, particularly for K-12 districts, charter schools, and organizations involved in child nutrition initiatives like NSLP, School Breakfast, SFSP, CACFP, and CEP.
This point-of-sale system operates as a cashier application that can be accessed via tablets, smartphones, or web browsers, offering features for serving lines, offline capabilities for locations with poor Wi-Fi connectivity, safeguards against duplicate servings, and privacy regarding student eligibility, ensuring cashiers remain uninformed about whether students qualify for free, reduced, or paid meals, in accordance with 7 CFR 245.8.
To assist in assessing eligibility, Trinity POS provides both online and paper applications for free and reduced meals in various languages, including English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, as well as tools for income verification, Direct Certification imports, notification letters, and verification sampling.
Families benefit from a parent portal that allows them to conveniently add funds online, set up automatic fund replenishments and spending limits, and monitor account balances and menus, with all deposits going directly into the specific school's bank account.
When it comes to claims, the software generates reimbursement claim worksheets based on logged meal servings, offering editing checks, export capabilities, and a submission history; however, it is essential to clarify that Trinity does not handle the submission of these claims to the state for users.
