What is Vaultion?

Vaultion tackles a crucial challenge in transactions involving parties unfamiliar with each other: the inherent risk that one side has to shoulder initially. To mitigate this uncertainty, Vaultion employs a secure smart contract that retains the payment until all specified conditions are met.

The procedure is simple: the buyer places funds in an escrow account using stablecoins like USDC, USDT, DAI, or PYUSD, after which the seller carries out their obligations. Once the buyer acknowledges receiving the goods or services, the payment is then released. In case of a dispute, the funds are kept safe while an independent arbitrator steps in to resolve the issue. This arbitrator may be Kleros, a decentralized court made up of randomly chosen jurors, or a human reviewer from Vaultion, whose verdict can be challenged within a designated timeframe before any funds are disbursed. Moreover, a guardian with freeze-only authority can pause any questionable decision without having the power to redirect the funds, thereby ensuring a just and clear resolution process. This pioneering methodology not only enhances trust in transactions but also creates a secure environment, reducing the risks typically associated with dealing with unknown parties. Ultimately, Vaultion's framework represents a significant advancement in transactional security and reliability.
