WordPress is the only way to go for creating a website. It's easy enough to use, and the features are endless!

The only negative I can think of would be that it's "so" robust, it could be overwhelming trying to figure out which direction to go when just getting in to it. But once you understand it, there's nothing better.

However, although to obtain an extension to exploit its potential plug-ins are needed, you can not always acquire the necessary benefits for your needs through them without a programmer who knows the subject.

Wordpress is a web creation program that offers you the possibility of being the channel that allows you to create and modify, without much technical knowledge on the subject, web pages, online stores, blogs and many more. It provides us, for less knowledgeable people, default templates that facilitate its usability.

Since Wordpress was created primarily for blog writers, with the boom in the field of digital marketing and all its extensions, the program has not been fully adapted to this type of progress, therefore, requires a lot of extra plug-ins to be able to exploit in sales and positioning functions.

If you want to blog, get your own server and self-host Wordpress. It does not get any better in terms of base system reliability, extensibility through add-ons and community. A browser extension for blog posting would be great. Be aware of self-host hacking attempts. Install security add-ons first!

Overall, WordPress has worked well for us as it has allowed us to improve our brand in the cloud as well as improving teams-clients communication.

I like that WordPress offers domain search, web design and content management capabilities.

I've used Wordpress on and off for years, for a number of different purposes, both professionally and for personal projects. I would say it's most similar to Blogger, and Medium if you squint, but far more customizable. It's a great place to get out lengthy, in depth information to your audience and get more meaningful engagement via longer conversations and would likely appealing to an older demographic. These days, unless there's a major shift in how younger people are using the net, I can't see it being a huge drawn for the under 25 crowd and Wordpress having been around a long time really shows when you're dealing with it to get everything you want situated. There's a big learning curve if you're just getting into this thing, but it may be pretty easy to use if you've used sites like Blogger or Livejournal back in the day. For the right audience and right type of project, it's still one of the best out there.

One of the things that made Wordpress stand out from other blogger services when blogging started really getting big was the just the sheer amount of options and ways you could customize Wordpress. It's still highly customizable to this day. Blogging is simple and easy, and if you just want it for a personal account without any of the bells and whistles, it'll only take you a few minutes to get everything up and running. For business, you'll need to put more work into getting how you want to look, but you most certainly can. As more businesses have focused on short form interaction with customers, there are advantages to having more in depth, lengthy content and conversations with your audience and Wordpress will definitely get you the ability to do that, if that's what you're seeking. You can easily link your shop and other relevant sites, such as your Instagram or Twitter and put those links wherever you want them.

Unlike many of the template designs out there, and while you certainly can find plenty of templates for Wordpress, you'll still be putting in more effort than other places to get everything in order. Some may find blogging content doesn't get them the hits that easier to use platforms like Instagram might and some aspects of the back end of Wordpress are a bit dated. There's a pretty steep learning curve for those who aren't used to using blogging services like this and for customizing.

As a small business owner using Wordpress is a no brainer. While it was originally developed as a blogging platform, (which is how we used it back in 2007-2008, it really took off as a light weight content management system (CMS) and we've used it on all the websites we've developed for our two companies and personal/profession sites. I'm not a graphics or UI/UX designer so it makes sense to buy a well developed and supported theme/theme base. Beyond the CMS function, we've used Wordpress for advanced surveys and forms, as a Learning Management System and as a knowledge base. Is Wordpress perfect for all these applications? No, but with all the plugins and themes it is highly extensible and can manage all these tasks given enough server resources and optimization. That being said, you host is just as important. We've used several different hosting companies which are all good in their own way, but a small business owner that doesn't have a lot of time, but wants tighter control over their website should find a host that can help manage your installation (doing automatic backups, upgrades and is Wordpress focused.) We've tried Joomla and Drupal (albeit a decade ago) and we found that they were "too much" for what we needed.

The wide range of add-on/plugins, Themes and customization. As an open source project, Wordpress is continually being examined for security flaws. Several large companies have a vested interest in Wordpress's security and continued development like Automattic. Hosting providers and CDN companies are tightly integrating Custom Wordpress Installations which helps with further security.

I'm not a fan of the Block Editor thats been rolled out over the last couple of years. I'm not sure if is because I don't like change, or it doesn't flow. I also like to use the text editor, not the visual editor to see the formatting on the backend. There are almost too many options/themes which use so many different "back ends". If you choose a theme that is no longer supported or the backend is no longer supported you may need to make further investments in time and money changing you theme.

It's the most trusted and powerful platform. With WordPress, I can easily create and manage the website from its flexible dashboard. It provides me with tons of plugins to customise and make managing easy.
