Spent about a week trying to get another product to work without much success. ZenLedger took about a day.

Transactions imports from most exchanges with with little or no followup effort required. Had only a few questions and they were answered amazingly fast. I tried another product first but had extreme difficulty importing transactions and found their tech support did not have English as their native language and that they were very sloooow to respond.

It's a little difficult to figure out how to correct discrepancies in the imported data. The reason for the discrepancy was not always obvious. I finally just had to guess at the corrective actions required.

I love being able to keep track of my Cryptos on Ledger Live while keeping my coins safe, secured and offline.

Security above all else, being able to lock your cryptos in a safe environment is the only perfect solution to having cryptocurrency.

No cons excerpt if you loose your security code you are out of luck getting into your device so keep it in a safe place.

The exceptions that come up, is by far, the most difficult thing to fix. A lot of those "problems" are from the various exchanges that for some reason do not include ALL of my transactions. This of course is no fault of the ZenLedger software. Just please keep going after them to fix their API files!!!

The ease at which I was able to pull down the API file from the various exchanges that I have utilized for my extensive crypto purchases.
I also love how easy it is to populate my information into the various tax forms that I need to file!!

Since I only need to use the software once a year, I have a hard time remembering all the steps I need to take to get everything completed for the new year.

Excellent - happy to have this tool. I know there are alternative companies who claim they offer crypto tax assistance, but I feel ZenLedger is the leader in this field. I also appreciate receiving frequent informative Emails.

ZenLedger has provided me an efficient and effective means of dealing with my crypto taxes. Customer support has been great, particularly since I am not particularly computer literate.

Navigating between different parts of the site too frequently

I use it every quarter to update my gains/losses, to play for rebalancing and tax harvesting. Its essential at year end to prepare all the forms needed by my accountant that they add to my tax submission. Its well worth the cost!

Once set up properly (not difficult to do) this will generate profit/loss statements and fill out IRS forms and clearly show me losses and gains imported from all my exchanges and wallets. Truly this is as easy as it can get! My accountant appreciates the completed forms generated here that I just email him. And since he charges $150 per hour it is easier, more accurate and less expense than dumping a pile of PDFs onto him to sort out!

I have been using this for the past four years and frankly it is super easy and I can't honestly complain about the value or ease of use. It's a great product.

Now with the addition of so many different cryptos and interest and staking, ZenLedger is absolutely indispensable. The availability of so many tax forms and the ability to download into our Turbo Tax return are very helpful.

We have used ZenLedger since 2019. It has held our hands through imports from numerous exchanges, wallets, etc. It has helped us navigate problems with identifying where holdings came from.It has simplified life.

Sometimes I am frustrated by the time delays in "chats" but I am grateful for the willingness to continue with different approaches to solve problems.

I didn’t like that somehow I got hooked into a recurring subscription to Hobbyist…am still not sure what it is…but I was able to easily cancel.

I started investing in crypto in Feb 2021. I knew I had a bunch of transactions and a slight capital gain but didn't know how many or how much. With tax time approaching, I did some research and bought ZenLedger. I had over 600 transactions and 5k in capital gains. ZenLedger made it super easy to download transactions from different brokerages and calculate my tax forms. They also connect to TurboTax. Highly recommend!

Easily links to different brokerages and crypto wallets. Keeps a nice ledger of all your crypto holdings with up to date transactions. Calculates and easily creates the needed tax forms for TurboTax.

I wish I would have known that crypto brokerages can be linked with TurboTax so a ledger is not really necessary to complete taxes.

Good. Schedules are usable for IRS reporting. Pricing is good. I look at the harvesting feature as very important guidance.

Like similar crypto tax preparation programs, ZenLedger requires that ALL current and former exchange transactions be listed and accounted for. When your memory fails you, this could slow up your process.
Working with ZenLedger over the past three tax seasons, I have been very satisfied with the accuracy and completeness of their product. In addition, it has taught me to be more diligent over the year to record each and every crypto transaction I engage in for when it becomes crypto tax season again.
I may have an excellent memory, it's just my recall is not what it use to be. Year-long note-taking helps me with this and is a necessity when it comes to ZenLedger activities. Best of luck!

Requires dedicated time and effort to tackle the "learning curve", which every other service probably has as well.
When you run into a snag, it may take a day or so to get it resolved.

I like using this site to double check Coinbase's calculations and for its ability to select multiple cost-basis calculation methods (FIFO, LIFO, HIFO). I recommend it.

ZenLedger allows you to link your Coinbase account and then it conveniently calculates your cost-basis for all transactions and generates tax forms.

The site can take a while to generate the forms. I'd like it to be quicker at processing the transactions and generating tax documents.

Good overall, the customer support makes you want to stay. Software needs some tweaking to better match transactions, as well as to maintain trade history and manual corrections between tax years. Satisfied overall :)

The customer support via chat is usually spot on and timely, and provide lots of resources and guidance. Closer to tax deadline expect delays for responses(1-3 days) closer to 1.5, which is still really good. Many softwares don't provide any support.
Fairly easy UI to navigate.
Provides good reports. Tax loss harvesting and Form 8949, etc. Have option of hiring a crypto CPA from within, fairly pricey, but nice option.
Solid amount of exchange and wallet support.

-The tax software tends to miss duplicates and/or doesn't always ignore them. Leaving you to manually investigate, for better or worse. It is also not intuitive enough to pick up on all transaction pairs across exchanges/wallets, gets most of them, but seems to miss some of the obvious ones.
-Need to increase the coins offered in the manual custom Wallet section.
- and/or allow integration of custodial wallets using public addresses(Koinly offers a feature like this)
-From one year to the next, when synching API's, any manual changes and/or transaction issues that were resolved seem to get reset and lost. Leaving one to re-do, which is time consuming and annoying. My tax liability even changed from the prior year when I was curious to check it...weird.

With my tens of thousands of transactions last year, There's no way I could gather all the needed data in a timely manner. ZenLedger definitely simplifies the process.

What a great tool ZenLedger is. It is extremely intuitive and easy to use, has great features, and the pricing is good for the service you get. Such a time-saver!

Not necessarily an issue with ZenLedger but some of my exchanges aren't able to automatically connect with ZenLedger. Therefore there's a little more manual work to get the needed data.

Overall the experience has been positive. It's sometimes difficult to resolve differences. When a token becomes essentially worthless you need to remove it from your list of cryptos. That process takes some time.

ZenLedger is a company that can make your tax filing in your crypto world much easier. It's data driven so you need to download all wallets and exchanges you've used . One of the problems the IRS has it assumes you "sell" a crypto when you move that crypto from an exchange to a wallet. ZenLedger solves that problem by seeing an outgoing transaction from an exchange and the incoming action to a wallet. It's not a sell but simply a movement.

It's difficult to download some wallets and exchanges because you need the formats to be in a specific format. Sometimes you need to manually produce that document.
