What is EncryptPro?

Most teams still share sensitive files as password-protected archives. The password gets emailed, texted, or read out on a call — two interception points instead of one. The archive itself carries a verification hash that can be brute-forced offline at full speed. And every edit means extract, change, re-compress, re-send. EncryptPro replaces that with something teams can run without an IT department. A connection is set up once between the people who share files. After that, encrypting is a right-click. The encrypted file can go by email, WhatsApp, USB, or a public link — no password accompanies it, and no one outside the connection can open it. Recipients never exchange keys or hand over an email address. C2 connections solve what makes standard PGP impractical at work: encrypt once, and every member of that connection can open it. No per-recipient encryption, no key directory to maintain. Licensing is per connection, not per seat. Only the person who creates a connection needs a paid plan — members stay on the free version. A team of fifty can run on one subscription. Offboarding is cryptographic, not administrative. Upgrade Lock rotates a connection's key pairs; anyone not given the new password cannot open anything encrypted after that point. Files they created earlier stay accessible to them, which matters when the departing party owns some of that data. The same right-click encrypts files that never leave the building. Security groups keep categories under separate passwords — finance, HR, client work — so unlocking one doesn't expose the rest. Encrypted files open and edit in their native applications and save straight back to encrypted. Nothing readable reaches our servers. If a subscription lapses, Viewer Only Mode keeps every encrypted file accessible offline, indefinitely. Windows. Free plan permanent, no credit card. Paid from $4/month.

What is BitLocker?

BitLocker Drive Encryption is a powerful feature designed to protect sensitive data by working in harmony with the operating system, significantly reducing the chances of data theft or exposure due to lost, stolen, or improperly disposed devices. The security benefits of BitLocker are enhanced when paired with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 1.2 or higher, a hardware element often provided by manufacturers in contemporary computers. This TPM works in tandem with BitLocker to secure user data and ensure the integrity of the computer while it is offline. Although BitLocker can still function to encrypt the operating system drive on systems without a TPM version 1.2 or newer, users must utilize a USB startup key for booting up or waking the device from hibernation. Furthermore, starting with Windows 8, users have the option to set an operating system volume password for additional protection on machines lacking a TPM. This added layer of security allows for a broader range of devices to take advantage of BitLocker's strong encryption features, making it a versatile solution for safeguarding data across various platforms. Ultimately, the integration of these security measures underscores the importance of protecting sensitive information in today's digital landscape.
