Formgong vs. Formdall

Formgong acts as a robust backend solution specifically designed for managing website forms, enabling developers to utilize their own HTML forms and route submissions to a specified Formgong endpoint. After submission, the entries are systematically arranged in an inbox and can be dispatched via email, Telegram, or webhooks. Furthermore, it supports integration with platforms like Slack and Discord through incoming webhooks, as well as allows for the storage of accepted submissions in Google Sheets, creating individual rows for each entry. To mitigate spam, users can take advantage of features such as a honeypot mechanism, server-side filtering, and the optional use of Cloudflare Turnstile. This service is ideal for developers, freelancers, agencies, and small businesses seeking to collect form submissions from static sites, WordPress, or AI-generated websites without the complexities of maintaining their own form-processing systems. Users can choose from various plans, which include different limits on submissions, data retention periods, and delivery methods, with a free plan available for those who wish to explore the service. By addressing its users' requirements effectively, Formgong simplifies the management of forms while improving the overall submission process, making it a valuable tool for anyone involved in web development.

Formdall acts as a backend service tailored for static websites, enabling users to effortlessly incorporate form capabilities without the hassle of developing their own endpoints; all that is required is a simple adjustment of one attribute to direct your HTML form's action to Formdall. There is no need for any SDKs, npm installations, or extra build steps, making it incredibly user-friendly. When submissions are made, they are validated according to a custom field schema defined by you for each form, ensuring spam is filtered out while securely archiving legitimate responses in an encrypted format. Notifications about these submissions can be sent in multiple ways: via email to you, an automatic response to the sender, a HMAC-signed webhook to your system, or any combination of these options. Inside your inbox, you can easily search submissions, export them in CSV format, and selectively delete entries whenever necessary. Privacy is a core aspect of our design, rather than just a marketing point; we operate from Germany and employ AES-256 encryption for data at rest, while IP addresses are maintained solely as daily rotating hashes. In addition, we use a self-hosted proof-of-work captcha instead of relying on reCAPTCHA, which means there’s no need for cookies, cookie consent banners, or data transfers to the U.S. Our data retention policies guarantee that information is physically purged daily, rather than merely relying on soft deletes. Formdall also supports MCP clients like Claude, Codex, and Cursor, which allows for the creation of forms and the direct integration of the generated code snippets into your project with ease. This level of compatibility further enhances the overall user experience, facilitating efficient form management while prioritizing robust security and privacy measures. You can trust that your data is handled with the utmost care and attention to privacy standards.
