What is FreeFileSync?

FreeFileSync is a versatile software application designed to compare and synchronize directories, enabling users to efficiently back up their important data. Instead of duplicating every single file, it analyzes the discrepancies between a source and a destination folder, transferring only the essential information to enhance performance and reduce redundancy. This open-source tool is available on multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, making it accessible to a wide range of users. The ongoing development of FreeFileSync relies solely on contributions and advertising, underscoring the importance of community support. Users are encouraged to consider contributing financially after they experience the benefits of the software, as these donations play a vital role in sustaining its development and ensuring that it remains up-to-date. FreeFileSync prides itself on delivering a reliable product free of major bugs, supported by frequent updates and dedicated assistance for all users. Your financial support not only helps to introduce new features but also guarantees the software's ongoing maintenance. Ultimately, by backing FreeFileSync, you are not just enhancing your file management capabilities but also fostering an invaluable resource for the broader community of users. This collaborative effort ensures that the tool evolves and adapts to meet the needs of its users effectively.

What is Densar BK?

A working setup is more than its source code. What git keeps is the code; what makes the machine actually work sits elsewhere, in the AI assistant's memory, in the .env files and keys that never reach a repository, in junctions that point outside the project, in local configuration and installed toolchains. Move to another PC and that part does not come with you, so the assistant no longer recognises the project and half the commands fail. Densar BK looks at the folder as it stands and decides for itself what matters, then produces one archive encrypted with the age standard, a password being mandatory. Anything a machine can regenerate is left out: one measured run kept 0.38 GB and skipped 21.73 GB of caches. Restoring on the new PC recreates links as links instead of duplicating them, points the assistant's memory at the new paths, installs whatever is missing through winget, npm, cargo and pip, then prints what is left to do for each project, command and folder included. Reading your disk is free and requires no account. The backup itself costs EUR 59, paid once. Restoring is always free, on any number of machines, with no licence involved. Windows to Windows, and no data ever leaves the computer.
