What is GoRules?

Most decision logic lives twice: once in a spec somebody wrote, once in code somebody else shipped. GoRules collapses the two. Analysts read and edit rules as plain sentences, engineers see the same rules as typed expressions, and neither view can drift because both render from one compiled source. Decisions can be modeled visually on a graph, kept in decision tables, or written as policy documents that mix prose with executable blocks. Under the hood runs ZEN, an open-source Rust engine (MIT) that returns answers in roughly 10 microseconds and embeds natively in Node.js, Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, C#, Swift, and Rust applications, so the identical ruleset powers APIs, MCP-connected AI agents, and Spark pipelines. Changes are guarded the way software is: static checks flag type errors, dead rules, and conflicting policies; scenario suites measure coverage; releases promote through environments with approvals and rollback. Free tier on managed cloud; self-hosted available.

What is Code Effects?

Code Effects is an enterprise-grade decision automation and management platform built for the .NET ecosystem. It uses a unique, high-performance business rules engine that allows organizations to define and evaluate logic in a human-readable format. The platform includes a modern, web-based rule editor that empowers non-technical users to manage complex rules without writing code. Code Effects relies on an in-house lambda expression engine to deliver lightning-fast rule evaluation at scale. Rules can be reused across multiple applications and rule sets, reducing duplication and maintenance effort. The engine integrates seamlessly into existing .NET projects as assemblies, eliminating complex deployment and security concerns. Its architecture supports flexible configurations where rule management and evaluation can run together or separately. Code Effects was designed to remove the need for rigid decision tables and technical rule formats. Built-in validation, dynamic help, and advanced logic support improve accuracy and usability. The platform is thread-safe and capable of processing millions of evaluations in milliseconds. With a one-time perpetual license, organizations avoid ongoing costs and vendor lock-in. Overall, Code Effects provides a scalable, user-centric solution for automating decision logic across enterprise systems.
