Each task you are set to accomplish is defined as a work item, and the duration allocated to each work item is referred to as a time slice. A new time slice starts whenever you notify Grindstone that you have commenced work. If you enter the name of a work item that does not exist into the timer, Grindstone will automatically create that work item and start the timing process for you.
