What is LocalOps?

LocalOps offers a modern, cloud-agnostic internal developer platform aimed at enhancing the efficiency of engineering teams working with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, especially those who face challenges due to a lack of DevOps skills or experience delays in release cycles caused by DevOps-related issues. This platform allows teams to enjoy a developer experience akin to that of Vercel, Fly, or Heroku, all within the confines of their own cloud infrastructure. By connecting their AWS, GCP, or Azure accounts and integrating their GitHub repositories, teams can deploy services in under 30 minutes without the cumbersome tasks of manually configuring AWS resources, writing Dockerfiles, establishing CI/CD pipelines, or crafting Terraform scripts. They benefit from self-service access to AWS, which facilitates automatic deployments via Git push, and can track logs and metrics right away through a pre-configured open-source monitoring suite that features Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki. Moreover, they have the capability to scale resources infinitely within their cloud account at a lower cost, utilizing any available cloud credits to offset the costs of cloud resources. This streamlined approach empowers teams to deploy, monitor, automate, and scale their applications effortlessly, enhancing productivity in their own cloud environments, ultimately leading to a more agile development process.

What is Control Cloud?

Control Cloud acts as a unified control plane for teams managing multiple public cloud environments alongside their local infrastructure. It provides a real-time visualization of resources, networks, and their interconnections by utilizing provider APIs and user-granted read permissions, eliminating the necessity for agents on virtual machines. Before any modifications are made, the platform assesses the existing cloud state, considering elements such as credential scope, network and subnet availability, access to on-premises hosts, and template-related dependencies. Any ambiguities concerning conditions are noted as informational, ensuring they are not mistakenly labeled as confirmed. Furthermore, Control Cloud generates Terraform scripts for deployment into a customer's repository, facilitating execution via their existing pipeline and credentials. The system guarantees that all credentials are safeguarded through a managed Key Management Service (KMS), while all actions taken within the platform are logged immutably for auditability. Designed specifically for DevOps, platform, and cloud operations teams responsible for infrastructure management across varied environments, this solution enhances visibility and control. By offering a suite of powerful features, Control Cloud streamlines intricate operations and encourages effective teamwork among different teams, ultimately leading to increased productivity and efficiency. The ability to automate deployment processes further amplifies its usefulness in dynamic cloud environments.
