What is OpenText Core Email Message Privacy?

OpenText Core Email Message Privacy offers a robust and secure solution for organizations aiming to send emails and attachments, accommodating files as large as 100 GB per message through a web browser or Outlook, thereby eliminating the reliance on insecure cloud-sharing alternatives. Utilizing AES-256 encryption for data at rest, this service guarantees that messages are uploaded to a highly secure portal; senders retain the power to set and manage permissions for actions such as viewing, replying, and forwarding, with the ability to retract access even after the message has been dispatched. Recipients are provided with a secure link that allows them to access the messages via web or mobile devices without needing to download any additional software. Moreover, it features integrated e-signature functionality, enabling recipients to add legally binding signatures to the secure message exchange. Every action taken—including delivery confirmation, opening, downloading, and signing— is tracked in real-time and logged for comprehensive auditing. This solution not only facilitates large file transfers but also simplifies infrastructure requirements due to its SaaS-based nature, which negates the need for extra servers and integrates smoothly with single sign-on (SSO) systems. Additionally, its intuitive interface is designed to make navigation straightforward for both senders and recipients, thereby boosting overall productivity within the organization. The combination of security, ease of use, and functionality makes this service an essential tool for modern email communications.

What is Aster Mail?

Aster Mail is a free, open-source email service that prioritizes user privacy through end-to-end encryption, offering a straightforward experience that avoids complicated technical hurdles. The encryption happens directly on the user's device, guaranteeing that our servers remain uninformed about the contents of messages or any related metadata. By leveraging the widely recognized OpenPGP standard with RSA-4096 keys, Aster allows users to maintain independence from any single provider, as their keys are compatible with GPG, Thunderbird, or any other PGP-enabled client, and can be easily found through WKD and public key servers. For communications between users of Aster, the service utilizes a Signal-inspired X3DH and Double Ratchet protocol, which significantly boosts forward secrecy. Each subscription level includes encrypted email functionalities, the ability to use custom domains, free aliases, protection from trackers, and unrestricted access on both web and desktop interfaces. The entire codebase is released under the AGPL v3 license on GitHub, promoting rigorous audits, and it includes a public warrant canary along with a transparent vulnerability disclosure policy to enhance user trust. The free subscription offers 10 GB of encrypted storage, 5 aliases, and 1 custom domain, while paid plans commence at just $2.99 monthly, with all servers based in Germany to comply with strict data protection laws. Users can confidently communicate, knowing their messages are safeguarded by leading encryption technologies, making Aster Mail an excellent choice for those valuing privacy. Moreover, the user-friendly interface ensures that even those with limited technical knowledge can take full advantage of its robust security features.
