What is PDN Analyzer?

The PDN Analyzer tool from Altium seamlessly integrates with Altium Designer, enabling users to efficiently identify and resolve problems like inadequate or excessive copper and unpredictable voltage drops. Additionally, it can pinpoint issues such as low voltage at key power points, copper islands, or peninsulas that may affect the performance of your PCB's power system. The PDN encompasses the complete power distribution network for active circuits on printed circuit boards, including all connections between the voltage regulator module, the metallization pads, and the integrated device dies responsible for power supply and return. To ensure that the power delivery network adheres to the IC supply voltage requirements, every segment must be scrutinized. An accurate validation of your power budget requires careful consideration of the minimum and maximum device specifications, potential worst-case voltage drops, cumulative return-path currents, and additional factors. With PDN Analyzer, you receive precise insights into the locations of these issues, facilitating a more effective design process. By addressing these concerns, designers can enhance the reliability and efficiency of their power delivery systems.

What is Altium Agile Teams?

Altium Agile Teams is a cloud-based collaborative platform tailored for electronics design and product development, specifically aimed at multidisciplinary hardware teams. This innovative solution combines Altium Designer, a leading PCB design tool, with Altium 365, a cloud framework for managing design data, while also offering structured workflows and access management capabilities. The platform is equipped with numerous features including collaborative PCB co-authoring, web-based design reviews, ECAD-MCAD co-design functionality, and version control that presents visual differences alongside detailed audit trails. Users benefit from the ability to monitor lifecycle states and distribute release packages through a manufacturing portal, whereas the Requirements Portal effectively links specifications to schematics, layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). In addition, it supplies real-time insights into component pricing, availability, and lifecycle status, aiding in the selection of parts and evaluation of BOMs. Pre-configured workflow templates further enhance efficiency by streamlining processes such as part requests, design approvals, and product releases, with seamless bidirectional synchronization with Jira to improve project management. To protect intellectual property, the platform includes robust features such as single sign-on (SSO), role-based access controls, event logging, and options for guest accounts. Additionally, potential users can take advantage of a complimentary 30-day trial, enabling teams to fully explore its capabilities prior to making a commitment. In summary, Altium Agile Teams is dedicated to improving collaboration and productivity within electronics design initiatives, making it a valuable asset for teams seeking to innovate efficiently.
