What is Relay Tripping Curves PRO2?

Relay Tripping Curves PRO2 (RTC2) is a specialized Windows application crafted by protection engineers for their colleagues in the field. It allows users to create trip curves for relays, circuit breakers, and transformers on a log-log graph, which helps ensure that the selectivity between various devices is confirmed and generates detailed technical reports essential for engineering tasks. While field testing equipment can provide data, they often lack the ability to relate these readings to the main system, visualize the curves, or confirm that settings are in coordination, a void that RTC2 successfully fills. Noteworthy features include compatibility with seven relay manufacturers, mirroring the original display and terminology, ten types of circuit breaker trip units that cover L/S/I/G zones, and a transformer damage curve that adheres to ANSI/IEEE C57.109-2018 standards. The software also offers functionalities for analyzing inrush and short-circuit currents, performing ΔT selectivity calculations among devices, and generating PDF reports that include primary-equivalent current, curve equations, plots, and signatures. Additionally, it is completely bilingual, supporting both English and Spanish, and functions entirely offline. Users have the opportunity to try a free DEMO version with no time limitations, while the paid versions provide a perpetual license for a one-time fee, making it accessible for engineers with varying needs.
