What is Simpack?

Simpack is a dynamic software solution for multibody system simulation (MBS) that enables engineers and analysts to effectively model and simulate the intricate non-linear motions found in various mechanical and mechatronic systems. This powerful tool allows users to develop and study virtual 3D models, enhancing their ability to predict and visualize dynamic behaviors, as well as the related forces and stresses. Although it is predominantly used in industries such as automotive, engine, hardware-in-the-loop/software-in-the-loop/model-in-the-loop testing, power transmission, railway, and wind energy, its versatility makes it applicable in all areas of mechanical engineering. A standout feature of Simpack is its capability to perform high-frequency transient analyses, including those within the acoustic range, thereby proving to be an essential resource for engineers. Initially created to tackle complex non-linear models that include flexible bodies and significant shock interactions, Simpack has continuously adapted to address the evolving challenges faced by modern engineers. With its ongoing development, this advanced simulation tool ensures that a diverse range of engineering problems can be resolved efficiently, thereby enhancing overall productivity and innovation in the field.

What is Moldflow?

Moldflow® simulation software delivers an all-encompassing solution to tackle challenges related to plastic injection and compression molding processes. Its sophisticated features, combined with an intuitive interface, address various manufacturing hurdles such as part warpage, improving cooling channel efficiency, and shortening cycle times. By promoting teamwork among product design groups, it effectively minimizes delays and cuts down on rework costs. The integration of Autodesk Drive and shared view functionalities allows for fluid content collaboration, while the in-product Fusion 360 supports quick geometry adjustments. Additionally, automation tools simplify both setup and post-processing activities. The software enhances solver versatility, boosting overall capacity and alleviating hardware constraints with Moldflow Insight. Users can mesh and resolve Insight jobs through local, remote, and secure cloud server options, enabling simultaneous execution of multiple simulations. It also ensures secure storage, previewing, and sharing of design data, which fosters efficient communication with stakeholders. Furthermore, users can swiftly upload a .csv file to add and assign numerous users at once, greatly enhancing team management and collaborative efficiency. This level of adaptability not only allows teams to work more productively but also enables rapid responses to evolving project requirements, ensuring that they remain agile in a dynamic environment. In this way, Moldflow® remains an invaluable asset for anyone involved in plastic molding processes.
