What is SmartCAM?

The SmartCAM® software suite offers a range of CAM applications tailored for CNC milling, turning, fabrication, and wire EDM, complete with optional native CAD data translators compatible with leading CAD vendors. On the turning front, SmartCAM Production Turning™ serves as a basic wireframe-based solution for 2-axis lathe operations, while SmartCAM Advanced Turning™ meets the complex demands of professionals operating 2- to 6-axis lathes, including Mill/Turn and Turn/Mill configurations, thereby proving its versatility for diverse machining applications. Each application within the SmartCAM suite is meticulously designed to improve both productivity and accuracy in machining endeavors across a variety of sectors, ensuring that users can achieve optimal results tailored to their specific needs. What is Lathe?

Lathe offers specialized hosting services designed specifically for individual creators and small teams, guaranteeing that every user receives a dedicated cloud environment to run their applications, databases, and manage authentication, all under a single monthly fee. Each unique machine is furnished with Postgres 17, complemented by PgBouncer and pgvector, alongside Redis 8, CouchDB 3, and NATS JetStream, while also providing seamless app hosting via GitHub deployments and built-in user authentication. There are no shared clusters involved, no charges based on the number of users, and users can expect no hidden fees; plans start at an affordable $15 a month, which includes a risk-free 14-day trial without requiring a credit card. Users have the flexibility to manage their services through a user-friendly web interface, a REST API, or an MCP server utilizing OAuth 2.1, streamlining the management of the entire tech stack, even for AI agents. Lathe integrates a range of tools such as Vercel, Supabase, and various authentication services into a cohesive solution featuring a dedicated machine and clear, predictable billing.
