What is SpicaCMS?

SpicaCMS is a multifaceted content management system that enables the creation of structured, SEO-friendly websites through the use of reusable content templates. Built on Django for its backend and powered by Next.js for the frontend, it includes an editorial control panel that features models and workspaces specifically designed for various publication types, such as blogs, knowledge bases, reviews, directories, real estate listings, job postings, events, and travel guides. The platform’s SEO functionalities automatically produce essential components like metadata, canonical URLs, XML and image sitemaps, schema.org JSON-LD, hreflang tags, RSS feeds, redirects, robots.txt configurations, and social media cards. Teams benefit from streamlined content management processes that encompass drafting, reviewing, scheduling, and revising, while also gaining access to versioned public and SEO APIs. Moreover, users can deploy the runtime via Docker on either a VPS or a cloud virtual machine for added flexibility. SpicaCMS also provides a free self-hosted Community edition alongside managed cloud hosting solutions and a multi-site support plan, making it adaptable to a wide range of web development requirements. This flexibility not only accommodates small teams but also empowers larger organizations to significantly improve their online visibility and engagement. Ultimately, SpicaCMS stands out as an ideal choice for those looking to enhance their digital footprint effectively.

What is DonkeyCMS?

DonkeyCMS is a lightweight, self-hosted blog CMS for websites that are not built on WordPress. If your site is hand-coded HTML, a Bootstrap or Tailwind template, or an AI-built page, DonkeyCMS adds a full blog in a /blog folder of your site without a plugin ecosystem, a page builder or a redesign. Its Frame Setup tool reads your existing page, copies your menu and footer into the blog, and flags common problems such as transparent or fixed menus and anchor links that break off the homepage. Frame Studio lets you keep editing that header and footer later, with a live preview. Blog pages look like the rest of your site, and you keep control of the markup. WRITING AND PUBLISHING - Rich text editor with headings, images, video and a Markdown toggle - Categories, tags, drafts and scheduled posts - Media library that blocks deleting images still in use - Comments with Cloudflare Turnstile, spam heuristics and a moderation queue - Custom roles and permissions for teams, with email invitations SEO - Article and FAQ structured data, breadcrumbs, Open Graph tags, XML sitemap, per-post noindex, automatic 301 redirects when a slug changes, lazy-loaded images, clean URLs SAFETY AND PORTABILITY - Scheduled backups to your server, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2 or Google Drive, with merge or replace restore - WordPress import - Admin and blog in English, Romanian, Spanish, German, Hungarian, French and Turkish REQUIREMENTS PHP 8.1+ and MySQL on ordinary shared hosting. A guided installer gets you running in about five minutes. PLANS A free plan includes the blog and the Frame tools. Paid plans (Pro, Business, Agency) add features such as typography and color controls, analytics, a read-only JSON API and white-labeling for agencies.
