Webots supports multiple programming languages, including C, C++, Python, Java, MATLAB, and ROS, providing developers with the flexibility to select the most suitable programming language for their projects. Its modern graphical user interface, paired with a powerful physics engine and OpenGL rendering capabilities, allows for the realistic simulation of a diverse spectrum of robotic systems, encompassing wheeled robots, industrial arms, legged robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles. The application is widely utilized in various sectors including industry, education, and research for tasks such as robot prototyping, AI algorithm testing, and the exploration of innovative robotic ideas. In essence, Webots is recognized as an invaluable tool for individuals and organizations aiming to push the boundaries of robotics and simulation technology, making it integral to the future of robotics development.

What is Path2?

Path2 is a cutting-edge application aimed at facilitating the design of robotic cell layouts and offline programming, specifically crafted for robot programmers, control engineers, integrators, and manufacturers working with KUKA robots. Users have the ability to construct complex 3D cell designs that incorporate customizable pallets, conveyors, fencing, and pedestals, while also selecting from an extensive selection of 20 different KUKA models that can accommodate payloads ranging from 20 to 800 kg, allowing for the visual configuration of Home, Pick, and Place positions on the user-friendly interface. The cell builder proficiently calculates pallet layers and can generate KUKA KRL .SRC/.DAT programs for convenient implementation. Furthermore, a specialized generator for both palletizing and depalletizing operations creates KUKA KRL or ABB RAPID files, which come with the inclusion of separator sheets for added functionality. A thorough evaluation on a KUKA KR 210 R2700 extra showcased the tool's ability to initiate a running cycle merely 19 minutes after the setup of a basic layout, all achieved without resorting to hand-written KRL scripts or positions programmed via a pendant. Users are invited to explore cell design and sample KRL setups at no cost, with customized program exports available for £149 each. This browser-based platform is convenient as it requires no installation or simulation license, ensuring broad accessibility. It is crucial to remember, however, that any generated programs must be subjected to commissioning and site-specific validation to guarantee they operate at peak performance levels. The efficiency and versatility of Path2 make it an invaluable resource for those engaged in robotic automation.
