What is Wordsmith AI?

Wordsmith is an artificial intelligence platform designed to automate legal operations, contract management, document drafting, and internal legal service delivery for corporate legal departments. The software provides a centralized environment for receiving, organizing, processing, and tracking legal requests from different business teams. Its AI legal assistant supports document summarization, legal research, drafting, translation, and analysis using organizational knowledge and external information sources. Contract review capabilities evaluate agreements against company-specific playbooks, identify potential risks, and recommend revisions that reflect established negotiation standards. Users can draft nondisclosure agreements, employment contracts, legal correspondence, and other documents using approved templates and contextual instructions. Wordsmith's autonomous legal agents execute multistep workflows that include retrieving relevant information, analyzing documents, preparing responses, and routing matters for approval. Agents can receive requests through Slack, Microsoft Teams, and email while escalating issues that require professional legal judgment. The platform includes searchable knowledge repositories for storing legal guidance, precedents, contractual positions, and other materials used to inform automated responses. Document processing features support comparison of agreements, transcription of recordings and handwritten notes, conversion between document formats, and translation into 22 languages. Integration with Microsoft Word enables legal professionals to review contracts, generate redlines, apply playbooks, and perform document editing tasks within their existing workspace. Wordsmith also provides legal intake management, reusable automation templates, approval workflows, and activity records to help organizations standardize legal processes and monitor work across departments.

What is Leela?

Leela functions as an email-based assistant tailored for the assessment and negotiation of contracts, serving the needs of in-house legal departments, procurement teams, deal desks, and law firms. Users can simply send a counterparty's draft along with a brief, and in return, they receive a Word document that features tracked changes, a compilation of issues pertaining to specific clauses, and an in-depth memo. With each revised draft, Leela carefully contrasts it against the previous version, identifying any modifications, retained elements, conceded positions, or new introductions, while also marking any unnoted changes and refreshing the issues list relevant to the transaction. The review process follows an organized playbook based on past agreements or explicit written directives, ensuring consistency and reliability. Additionally, Leela focuses solely on the client's team and diligently keeps a record for each case. In terms of security measures, all documents are encrypted during both transit and storage, safeguarding their confidentiality, and no data is used for training purposes. This thorough methodology not only simplifies the contract negotiation process but also enhances the protection of data integrity and confidentiality, reinforcing trust in the entire operation. As a result, users experience a more efficient workflow while ensuring that sensitive information remains secure.
