What is ZENOLOGY?

Synthesizers are integral to almost every modern music genre, highlighting the necessity for a tool that is both flexible and cutting-edge. ZENOLOGY showcases nearly fifty years of synthesizer advancements, rooted in the early days of sound synthesis, and its ongoing development is set to revolutionize your musical experience. Roland's legacy in sound design has profoundly influenced numerous musical styles over the years, offering a range of iconic instruments that have shaped genres such as techno, house, and hip hop, while also making a significant mark on pop, rock, and film scores. This extensive background has culminated in the ZEN-Core Synthesis System, which is our most advanced sound engine to date, powering renowned synthesizers like the JUPITER-X and FANTOM, both of which are favored by artists for live performances and studio recordings around the world. ZENOLOGY acts as a versatile plug-in version of the ZEN-Core Synthesis System, providing users with a comprehensive platform. The ZEN-Core framework is designed around individual synth voices, each equipped with a customizable oscillator, filter, amplifier, dual step-LFOs, and an array of effects, enabling an impressive variety of sound options. By harnessing this innovative technology, musicians are empowered to venture into new creative realms within their soundscapes, opening doors to limitless potential in their artistic expressions. Ultimately, ZENOLOGY reflects a commitment to pushing the boundaries of musical creativity.

What is Triple Cheese?

Triple Cheese is an exceptional freeware synthesizer that distinguishes itself by employing comb filters for sound generation, setting it apart from the traditional reliance on oscillators or wavetables. It features a series of three comb filter modules, each offering eight unique modes, which significantly broadens the sound design possibilities for users. This synthesizer supports diverse playing styles, including the ability to play up to 16 voices in polyphonic mode, while also providing duophonic, monophonic, and legato options with adjustable portamento time for enhanced expressiveness. Furthermore, it includes two ADSR envelopes with customizable sustain stages and two LFOs that sync with the host, one being a standard LFO and the other known as "vibrator," which adds both delay and amplitude modulation capabilities. A versatile VCA with amplitude modulation and pan controls further amplifies its functionality. In addition, Triple Cheese comes with five built-in effects—chorus, flanger, phaser, delay, and reverb—that enrich its sonic spectrum. The range of modulation sources is extensive, featuring wheels, velocity, pressure, breath, key follow, and random inputs, which enable complex performance techniques. The user interface is designed to be scalable between 70% and 200%, as well as skinnable, allowing users to tailor its appearance to their preferences. This combination of features not only enhances its usability but also makes Triple Cheese an enticing choice for sound designers at all levels, eager to push the boundaries of their creative explorations. Ultimately, its unique approach and comprehensive capabilities make it an intriguing tool for crafting innovative soundscapes.
