What is cmOffice?

COVR has launched cmOffice, an all-encompassing software solution aimed at streamlining the various tasks involved in organizing conferences and managing associations. Specifically designed for the scientific and medical conference arena, this platform meets the distinct demands of this industry. With nearly twenty years of continuous development, cmOffice has proven to be a reliable and powerful tool that provides users with critical resources throughout every stage of the conference planning journey. The platform allows organizers to oversee all facets of large, intricate conferences that typically include multiple sessions and an array of speakers. Featuring a sophisticated abstract selection system, cmOffice supports online submissions, peer reviews, and scoring, which greatly improves program development while facilitating seamless collaboration among experts and staff via a unified interface. Additionally, cmOffice adeptly handles a myriad of related responsibilities, such as managing invitations, registrations, invoicing, payment processing, reporting, and coordinating hotel and travel logistics. This thorough approach guarantees that each aspect of the conference is carefully managed, rendering it an indispensable tool for organizers. Ultimately, the software's user-friendly design and extensive capabilities make it a standout choice for those in the conference management field.

What is Fourwaves?

Fourwaves is conference management software for academic conferences: abstract submissions, peer review, registration, event website, program and conference app in one platform, built for researchers at universities, scientific societies and research networks. Fourwaves runs academic conferences of any size, from international society meetings to departmental research days. Who it serves Organizing committees of faculty and graduate students, staff at scientific societies and associations, research office coordinators and professional conference organizers. Events range from research days to multi-track congresses, in person, online or hybrid. How it works A call for abstracts opens with a submission form that authors complete and revise until the deadline. Reviewers score each submission in their own portal, single or double-blind, against the committee's criteria. Accepted work feeds the program, the abstract booklet and the app with no re-keying, and a schedule change shows on the event website and in the app at the same time. Registration forms handle registration types, early-bird rates, discount codes, taxes, invoices and refunds. Card payments land in the organizer's own Stripe, PayPal or institutional gateway account. After the event, organizers issue certificates of attendance, export data to Excel or through the API, and keep the event archived. Cloning it gives next year's committee a head start. Plans Starter is free and covers 25 abstract submissions a year. Essential and Advanced are flat yearly subscriptions sized by submission volume, and Pro is quoted for larger or multi-event organizations. Registrations are unlimited on every plan. Company The team behind Fourwaves started in 2012, when its founders were PhD students running their own conference. The company is based in Quebec City, Canada, keeps data in the province of Quebec, and answers support in English and French, with a median first reply under 5 minutes.
