    Product works great, but I had to use my own ingenuity to solve issues. Early upgrades used to break one or two settings every time. I would delay upgrades till everything settled down. That has stabilized. But lately I've had some security breaches. 3CX seems deaf to security flaws.

    No free support even when the problem is 3CX's fault.
    3CX doesn't take security flaws seriously. When confronted, they try to sell their Hosting service as a fix-all.

    I love 3CX, the platform and team. Always a pleasure to work with the support and sales team. The product is wonderful as you are not locked into using 1-2 specific phones, you have literally hundreds of phones you can use, or you can choose to use no physical phones and use your laptop or cell phone application that is included in the cost of the license unlike other systems where they nickel and dime you for every endpoint.

    It was a learning curve but I have been more and more comfortable rolling out new installs and testing new functions/services. So far I have been content with the applications, devices, and support from 3CX team for any questions/issues I am experiencing.

    Positive

    Full management and configuration on the admin end.
    Customizable options (Interface, voicemail, blf, etc.)
    Regularly updated and patch notes readily available.

    Negative

    Custom configurations/templates are not supported by 3CX team.
    Phones can and will be phased out, making legacy devices obsolete. (Its a part of life sadly)
    Onsite installs can be more finicky and may need reboots.

    Scalable and very capable. We have small installs with 2 -4 users all the way up to 100+. Simple to setup and maintain.

    Overall we like using 3cx and supporting it. We’ve been running it for over 8 years now. There have been a lot of changes for the platform with most of them good.

    Over good system for the money. They are constantly adding and improving items. There are better systems for larger enterprises however those costs are usually 10-20x higher.

    Sometimes they make changes without think of all the potential issues, however when this is the case it’s usually caught in alpha and beta builds so it usually isn't an issue.

    Overall is good. I have very few complaints. More positives than negatives and the pricing are just the best thing there is.

    Easy to setup and use.
    Easy to integrate with some third parties like Office 365.
    Easy for building call flows.
    Allows use of API calls when programming call flows to integrate into other apps.
    Great Price.

    Negative

    Support to some phones has been removed.
    SMS new settings are not as flexible as the old ones.
    You need a Phone router (Specific phones have it) or a computer to use as SBC to connect the phones to the server. Unless installing 3CX in an on-prem server.
    The mobile app keeps unregistering after some time.

    I like that everything works, that when there is an issue, it has always been an operator issue, not a 3CX issue, and the documentation and support forums are awesome. As someone who does not turn to tech support personnel as a first option, having all of the resources I need, along with the experience of rock solid performance from 3CX, I find this product to be awesome.

    Not a fan of the dealer model. It was changed recently, and while SIP service is not the main focus of my business, I like having 3CX in my toolbox. The new model appears to be designed to cull and force resellers to convert more.

    Overall, 3CX has been an absolutely fantastic system to work with. This is why we ONLY recommend 3CX.

    3CX incorporates every feature you'd need to provide to businesses a way to facilitate a fantastic customer experience. We love the call queues so that customers don't have to endlessly hunt for an employee. The advanced database integration is mostly unheard of these days. Easy phone and trunk configuration make it a breeze to rollout.

    Negative

    There is only one thing I can think of, but it's intentionally designed this way, is if an agent is part of a call queue, they don't get a "call waiting" signal. This only affects very small businesses that don't have more people in their call queues. The easy workaround is creating a second extension for "overflow" calls so they can still see the call coming in.
