I have a small business that I need to monitor, and for me it became really difficult to pick the right software to do this with because some solutions tend to breach privacy, so I wanted to be really careful when choosing a monitoring software because I wanted everyone to feel safe, including me. I came across ActivTrak and I found that it had the right tools that I needed to monitor all the key factors about productivity and it had the right limitations so that it was ethical enough for me to try it. Even though setting it up was difficult, I have to say that the outcome result of it is very worth it, I can easily monitor everything and keep track of productivity every day while doing my other daily tasks, as this solution does most of the job and sends updates regularly throughout the day so that I am updated during every task that my team members complete. It has been a very good experience so far and it continues to help me achieve the right work environment that every CEO wants.

ActivTrak is a software that allows me to track my employees’ productivity at a bigger scale. It has a wide range of features that study many different factors that help track productivity and unproductivity. It has a main dashboard that easily displays a view of the overall productivity and gives a great summary during the day, and if I want to go more in-depth, I can easily see individual summaries and know which applications or websites the employees are using during work hours, what they are doing and if they are completing their daily tasks. It provides great reports that are very specific and helpful.
ActivTrak allows me to set a thoughtful and organized plan in order to increase productivity, provide a great work balance, create a nice work environment and more, thanks to its insights and powerful management tools that help me have more organization around our business team as a whole, guide us to a powerful workflow and a better collaboration between us all. I like that it monitors everything without sacrificing privacy between employees and it captures screenshots during work hours to ensure that everything is being done and productivity is not being killed, it keeps the most important data private so employees are not worried about non-work related information being seen, which is something I appreciate as it also helps me focus only on the work aspect of things. Additionally, I also love the fact that this software works in real time and provides different updates about activity logs, goals, website usage, throughout the day so that I am updated on everything that is happening on my team, and can set alarms to be informed about something suspicious happening or someone not being productive, and can easily set future goals to ensure a well-done work environment that is pleasant to be in and actually helps increase productivity on our team.

There is definitely a learning curve with this software, when I started using it, it felt too cluttered because of the amount of features that this software has, and it did not felt convenient because it did not provide great resources to start learning how to use it, it was very difficult to set everything up and start using it in our business. Also, I do find that the pricing plan is incredibly high per user and I would like to see more affordable plans coming out with less features because there are some features that I do not implement but they are included in the plan. It would be great to have a more affordable or customized plan that adjusts to small businesses, but other than those two points, ActivTrak is a software that has been working pretty well and does not present any issues when it comes to actively monitoring employees’ work hours, which was a main concern because I needed a tool that would work during all our shifts and I can easily monitor everything without coming across glitches or bugs while doing it, and I am relieved that it works perfectly without any inconvenience and provides a stable platform.

We installed this product on all our computers in mid-March '21 as a trial and purchased after the trial. I wasn't aware at the time of purchase but all our users had been experiencing slowness in internet resources since installing the app for the trial. Shortly after I purchased the app, all our staff began routinely reporting to me a slowdown in responsiveness when using internet resources such as salesforce.com. After hearing from everyone on our team the same complaint, I sat with some staff and saw first hand the slowness that was occurring. I decided to uninstall the app to see if it changed responsiveness. After uninstalling the app, the speed returned to normal on all our web resources. I worked with their support team to fix the problem and they had me install their Chrome extension which was supposed to fix our problems. We re-deployed the app with the Chrome extension. The extension did not help. We removed the app and chrome extension and our speeds returned to normal, again.

Two weeks after purchasing the program I contacted ActivTrak to close the account and request a refund. Their response to my refund request was simply that "we do not give refunds".

Save yourself the money and avoid this product.

The sales process was made easy. The application is easy to deploy (and fortunately easy to remove).

Completely ruined response time to salesforce.com and other internet resources even with their Chrome Extension "fix".

A very simple but powerful product to use. We installed it once everyone began working from home and were quickly able to determine who was efficient and who was not. This information is also helping us determine our workflow when offices reopen as it's clear that some people are better suited to remote work than others.

Easy setup and configuration. Simple administration. Robust reporting with detail broken down to 5-minute blocks of time. The screenshot library is a great tool.

Sometimes the agent doesn't timeout so it shows long blocks of passive time overnight when the PC is locked but that is the only "issue" we found.

It's a reliable and simple platform to track employee activities. It helps to boost inbound team productivity. It auto enables time tracking for employees to track and analyze their performance and works.

Still trying it out. In year contract but we are actively looking for alternatives. Wish customer service actually cared and figured what compatibility issues we are having.

Easy to track. Takes lots of snapshots. Easy to see what websites are productive and which are not.

Some computers it's not tracking at all. Customer service was not helpful at all.
