What is Acuity PPM?
Acuity PPM offers a user-friendly software solution designed for Project Management Teams (PMOs) to effectively oversee their project portfolios. It features a Work Intake module that facilitates demand management, enabling users to create and assess new project requests through methods like prioritization, financial planning, and resource management, particularly in terms of capacity planning.
Upon the approval of a request, project teams can efficiently monitor progress through centralized status reports that document key milestones, risks, issues, financial strategies, decisions made, lessons learned, as well as project and portfolio roadmaps, along with resource plans, all within Acuity PPM. This comprehensive tracking capability empowers leadership teams to make informed decisions about which projects to pursue for the organization.
Moreover, Acuity PPM seamlessly integrates with popular Project Management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, Wrike, and Monday.com, among others. PMOs are often burdened by overly complex software that can overwhelm users, but Acuity PPM avoids this pitfall by offering a modular approach that allows PMOs to incorporate only the functionalities they require, especially considering that many are at maturity levels one or two. This flexible pricing model ensures that users pay solely for the features they utilize, promoting fairness and efficiency in resource allocation. Ultimately, Acuity PPM is designed to support the evolving needs of project management teams without unnecessary complications.

Acuity Usefullness
Date: Mar 28 2023SummaryIt's likely an internal problem that sees us have a system is not well regarded. I'm sure we could possibly use it better, but the key project metrics we have in our Financial systems (budgets, forecasts and actuals), all itemised by year and project - as well as key Milestone dates - allow a clear line of sight on how projects, programs and the whole portfolio are progressing. The way we use Acuity, I don't see this being available.
PositiveI'm sure it serves a purpose, but not the way we are using it.
NegativeDoesn't allow effective decisions to be made from a complete range of source data that automatically calculates variances to key metrics, and then presents them in a succinct format.

Perfect solution for project portfolio management!
Date: Mar 22 2023SummaryI highly recommend this product for anyone looking to manage a project portfolio. It provides a high level dashboard designed to keep a pulse of the overall health of a portfolio. In addition, you can drill down on a project level for more detailed information.
Positive1. Acuity PPM is easy to use and adopt at all levels within the company. It has many valuable features essential for project portfolio management, is intuitive, visually appealing and gives us the ability to add customized fields to the dashboard without help from IT.
2. The scorecard allows us to assign a value and risk score to every project based on criteria import to our company. This is key to prioritization and helps us identify what we should be working on.
3. Their resource capacity module helps identify constraints impacting our project timeline and overall roadmap.
4. The product offers a dashboard that allows us to keep a pulse on the health of our portfolio and alerts leadership of identified issues and risks.
5. The status reports are a useful tool that gives us the ability to capture a project's status summary, accomplishments, and next steps. (Prior to Acuity, we were using a Word document for weekly status updates)
6. Other useful features include a timeline that allows us to add/track project milestones and a section to document key decisions that are made.
7. Customer service is exceptional, and they are always open feature enhancement suggestions.NegativeNothing substantial to share. Acuity PPM does an exceptional job with building suggested features/functionality. We are happy with the product.

Acuity PPM
Date: Mar 20 2023SummaryA very good, reliable, cost-effective product for someone looking to get their feet wet with a PPM solution. Support and development are open to feedback and responsive.
PositiveThis product is a good choice for anyone looking to implement a basic PPM resource. It has the basic features we were looking for with regard to our needs for PPM and also had some advanced features (scoring/prioritizing, timelines & milestones, etc.) that turned out to be useful. As with any product like this, there are some up front decisions to be made on how to use it and then some up front configuration work required. But, nothing out of the ordinary. The product is solid and we've had virtually no technical issues with its performance. Support has been very responsive.
NegativeThe biggest challenges have been with the timeline & milestone entry / update and with the products import/export or reporting. Nothing terribly bad. The update interface could be a little more user-friendly or elegant. Reporting or exporting of data is a little limited. But, they are working and making progress in that area as both support and product development have been responsive to feedback.

Intuitive.
Everything from a PM perspective contained within the various tabs.
Easy to share progress, related documents etc with stakeholders.
Easy to navigate to other project status reports which may have an impact or dependency on your project.
New functionality delivered quite frequently.Negative1. Have encountered an intermittent issue when adding a new risk or issue and app displays blank boxes without a title. Resolution is to shutdown app and restart because if you do try and fill out the blank boxes the risk or issue will not save.
