Reliable, flexible and feature rich signatures, easy to manage and setup
Date: Jun 19 2024SummaryIf you need a feature-rich, flexible, and easy way to manage email signatures, with a fully cloud-based solution, then look no further than Exclaimer. I'm not aware of any alternative that is so powerful. Pricing is fair.
PositiveThe flexibility of the signature customisation is impressive. The best feature is conditional fields, where the visibility of a field (such as a mobile number) can be conditional based on things such as the existence of an attribute. This is super helpful. It means I can have a single signature design for my company, but still offer flexibility to those users that wish to show their mobile number, as an example. You can also easily preview the results in real-time based on real user information. Lastly, the rules are very flexible also, you can create multiple signatures and have them trigger based on lots of configurable options, eg time of day, sender, recipient, attribute value.
Another nice feature I only recently discovered is for the Exclaimer to retrospectively update the users signature in their sent items folder as users don't see their signature when composing a new email, but exclaimer will update this email after it is sent, so when users go look in their Sent Items folder, the signature appears in the sent mail. Neat.
Integration is easy to setup. We are syncing directly from Azure AD, which is in turn syncs from our on-prem Active Directory. You choose which AD attributes you want to sync, which can then show up in Exclaimer for use in a signature.
Support a super responsive. New cases are attended to fast with always helpful responses. I have a lot of confidence in their support staff.NegativeOne nice feature would be to have a different rules to show different information based on the location the recipient opens the signature. For example. if the recipient opens the signature in North America, show a US telephone number, if they open the signature in Europe, then show a EU telephone number, etc.

You can increase the number of licensed users during your term, but cannot decrrease. Also, be aware of when you sign up and what the renewal date is. The renewal date is not advertised on your account. Therefore, if you want to reduce the number of licensed users (giving 30 days notice) you would need to do this in advance of the renewal date, which is not advertised. -

Positive-Uses AD or AAD/Entra ID to grab data/info for the signature so you don't need to change every single thing or visit their console just for it.
-Once it's setup, it works like a charmNegative-Had some weird bugs (what program doesn't) where it wouldn't format correctly after a reply, but it was resolved by the support team after a few weeks.

We were looking to upgrade the look of our signatures and Exclaimer allows us to build signatures and test before global release. We have had some technical issues that Exclaimer, but on the most part they have resolved or supported us.
PositiveA friendly user interface with some advanced features, no prior experience needed and removes the need to use html code to build a signature.
Its great for global changes, not so good for personal or individual design changes.
They also have a really good support team who are very quick to assist with any issues.
There is a good amount of hub learning, they have built a strong FAQ forum which usually answers any questions you may have during build or setup.NegativeThere are some bugs that seem to come with using different versions of outlook, sometimes the signature spacing expands/disfigures, and sometimes the signature does not send at all with the email but this is only on a few instances.

Good product ruined by terrible customer service

We plan to switch email signature providers in the future to avoid having to deal with their customer service/billing. They've also more than doubled their prices since we originally signed on.

PositiveWe enjoy the overall ease of use and reliability of Exclaimer's email signature solution. I can't remember the last outage we had with it. Modifying the signatures for promotions when needed is easy for us as long as we stay within the same formatting. Exclaimer has always been helpful in getting what we need set up. Especially getting our custom font deployed to Exclaimer, that was important for us. Support helped us get it deployed and adjusted.
NegativeThe initial setup can be finicky. Getting all the fields to stack correctly can take some time but the preview feature helps a lot. Getting signature application order correct was a bit of a pain but the last time we had to change signature order it was a better experience.
