What is HireYard?
HireYard is an operations platform created specifically for companies that manage fleets of rentable equipment and assets. It gives hire businesses a central place to track what equipment is available, booked, currently out, being serviced, or ready for another customer. A visual booking calendar offers week, fortnight, and month views so teams can coordinate jobs and identify scheduling conflicts before confirming hires. Quotes can be converted into bookings and invoices without requiring staff to maintain information across multiple disconnected systems. Employees can use QR codes to scan assets during dispatch and return, creating a documented history of activity for each unit. Fleet management tools track asset location, condition, utilization, maintenance intervals, and servicing expenses. HireYard can also manage deliveries, collections, deposits, bonds, equipment damage, customer balances, and operator license requirements. Online booking functionality enables customers to send requests through a business's website, with supported payment processing available through Stripe Connect. Reporting dashboards provide information about current and projected revenue, completed hires, idle inventory, due-back equipment, and maintenance needs. Additional functionality includes accounting integrations, CSV exports, GPS asset tracking, quantity-based asset pools, customer portals, white-label branding, and API access on applicable plans.
