I've been using Skype for quite some time now. I've seen Skype improving their product and customer support gradually with time. Although, there are several competitors of Skype in the market but it still has its own value and its own place in the market.

Skype is a reliable product when it comes to communicating with others through video calls or voice calls or through instant messages.

They should reduce the price of paid version of skype.

The Skype calls for me are fine quality-wise but due to my connectivity it sometimes suffers from latency between the audio and the video.

- Calls can be recorded and are easily accessible.
- Push to talk feature takes away the trouble of repeatedly muting and unmuting yourself during an interactive session.
- Chat feature is also very useful.

- I am personally not a fan of the Skype credit, as it includes a connection fee.

Our company has shifted to Microsoft Teams which is basically the same but built for an enterprise environment. Is instrumental in the ever changing remote society we live in now.

Easy setup and free to use for personal use. Can send an invite to anyone with an email address and be up and running in a video call in minutes.

I have had compatibility issues in the past and had to try multiple email addresses when trying to do a phone interview.

I had started using Skype for personal use later on used for business purposes. Sometimes it's hard to spend money on international video call conferencing, Skype provide us free international video call so it saves my money as well. It's very easy to use. All the functions keys are user friendly. If we want to share any files with our co-workers we can share it easily. Video conferencing is a great feature very useful for both personal and business purposes.

Sometimes it gets hang while sharing big files. Else everything looks great.

I haven't used it as much since other platforms started taking over, but it's still a great resource.

For Skype being what I know as the original video chat platform, I think it still holds up to being great.

I sometimes have issues logging in and getting my account running.

It's good but I think this platform is on his way out, unless having a mayor change adding more features I won't expect to be seeing Skype for much time longer.

I like the familiarity of this platform, its been here for years now, it's friendly to use it's like using a better version of MSN messenger.

A lot of the users are migrating for new platforms and it's losing relevancy.

It's a good app that has VoIP video call and IM services bundled in one app. If WhatsApp isn't your thing, Skype has it covered.

It comes integrated with Windows and on mobile doesn't take a lot of time to setup and get it running. The video clarity is good and texts get delivered promptly.

Might be annoying to some people who don't use Skype that it comes included with the OS. Although it doesn't consume much memory or CPU usage.

It could use a UI overhaul.

Laggy communication can be a menace at times. Developers need to work on future updates to resolve these issues.

Skype is an easy to use IM with an emphasis on simplicity over features but faces tough competition in market from feature rich alternatives like Teams.

Video quality during calls in not consistent.
Very less integration with other apps.

Overall this application is very useful for making online video calls, sharing files while doing video chat and while doing work.
But there are many other applications which gives you same or better experience.

There are so many pros to mention here like:
- It is very easy to understand and use this application and its functions.
- Different emojis and functions makes it enjoyable to chat with anyone.
- You can share your screen and share any files, the best thing about this application.
- It has a very great video and audio quality.
- During this pandemic it helps us to connect all over the world.
- I also like the Do NotDisturb and other features in this application, makes it easy to work without getting disturb.

There are few cons to be noted like:
- It has a very old type of design and functions to perform on, should focus new functions and design.
- Sometime lags, makes my computer slow.

A pretty fun and lightweight solution for webchatting with friends. If you're using something like Slack or Discord already though, there's not as much need for Skype.

I like how Skype works on all three of my laptops and my phone, without needing me to log out from any one of them. I use its screensharing function to watch my friends play games, and the audio is always clear. Being able to take screenshots of each other for the derpy moments is an extra plus.

On Windows 10, Skype sometimes gives annoying notifications, and I never did understand the Calling function (where you can buy minutes or something).

During lock down period, I use its services for making video call to my family members and also done official work while working from home. It provides me full freedom and satisfaction and I like it so much.

I love its crystal clear sound and video quality. It brings joy in chatting or working officially. It is very useful for all means. Very useful tool for all who can't move.

Sometimes during slow network, it pauses for a while and this is very annoying. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

It is a great free online calling service and it the best for online communication and chatting.

Skype is very easy to use and is known around the world as a good way to communicate with people from around the world via video chat.

Skype is very easy to use and has been very solid software with not many cons. When communicating from different countries it has been my go-to to keep in touch with people.

Sometimes it is a little glitchy and feels a little dated.

Thanks to Skype everyone at work can keep up with everybody else. Thanks to them we are able to handle remote work much easier.

Skype is a definite plus. Today with covid-19 being so widespread it's great to have Skype for business meetings.

Skype delivers super customer service, an easy to use interface and is pretty much foolproof. Theres no reason to dislike Skype.

We don't pay anything for Skype, which is the one thing it has as a benefit over other platforms, but the technology and ease of use has not kept up with the other plaforms.

Skype is easy enough to use, and it does the job, but the reality is with all the other products out there, Skype is not keeping up with the technology.

The platform is not as user friendly as other video conferencing tools and technology.

During whole lock down, I used Skye more than ever. It helped me in connecting socially and also it allowed me to do some official web conference without any trouble. I will continue to use it even after lock down.

I like its clear audio/video quality so much. It's screen sharing is excellent too. It has an clear edge over other alike available tools. Also, it is secured enough.

I have been using Skype for a long time and apart from little bugs, I did not find anything to dislike. Its bugs are screen sharing limitation and inability to work during slow network connection.

Multiple security issues in the past and risk of infection

Skype has been the most famous communication software overall in the corporate world despite being a heavy application. I wonder how it is going to face the onslaught of platforms like Zoom and Slack.

- The platform is quite universal across platforms and integrates quite well with Microsoft services like Outlook.
- It has all the features one can ask for.

- It feels quite heavy and laggy. Also the whole process of creating an ID and sharing it with others is not so seamless. Basically too much effort to set up.
- The video calling platform is not up to the mark.
