gPanel (and utilities like it) are essential for the typical Google admin. The added features are absolutely necessary. The gPanel product itself is a great addition. However, the price is becoming prohibitive. Furthermore, the company is driving away its long-time customers.

gPanel adds some user management features that are curiously absent from Google's native admin portal. These admin features are essential for most administrators and tenants.
It also adds very useful drive and calendar management features as well as some automation capabilities.

The price of this product has outpaced its value. The product is now on level or even costlier than the GATlabs offerings which are considerably more full-featured.
The Promevo company and staff are unbearable to work with. They have destroyed what were solid business relationships through their destructive behavior.

Overall, I would recommend gPanel for any workspace admin. Its ability to fill in the gaps left by native workspace support really shines when you are managing a larger workforce.

My favorite features of gPanel are features that are not natively available or easy to use in Google Workspace. The ability to easily scan users' Google Drives or calendars or manage users and much more makes gPanel a great tool for any workspace administrator.

There can be some UI/navigation trouble. Especially if you do not have workspace administration experience.

There can be slight delays in syncing changes

Overall, it makes supporting Google Workspace administration much easier. I am glad we use gPanel and because of it we were able to move away from GAM.

It makes it much easier to manage accounts for users. For example, comparing and then copying group membership.

Some of the automations are not flexible enough for us to leverage them.

Despite the synchronization delays, the core functionality of the platform is excellent. gPanel provides the granular control that the standard Google Admin Console lacks. I am overall very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to other Workspace admins—just be prepared to wait a little while for data to propagate after making changes.

Drive Ownership Transfer: This is a standout function. It simplifies the process of migrating files between users, ensuring data continuity without the usual administrative hurdles.

Gmail Inbox Delegation: The interface for managing delegate access is intuitive and saves our IT team a significant amount of time.

The primary drawback is the sync latency between the Google Admin Panel and Gpanel.

When updates are made to a user’s name or email address in the Google Admin Console, gPanel does not reflect these changes immediately.

This "lag" means that searching for a newly updated user often results in "not found" errors shortly after the change, which can disrupt workflow when you're trying to perform immediate administrative tasks.

Overall gPanel fills a lot of gaps where Google is lacking and Promevo takes the time to really listen to their customers.

Where to begin, I wouldn't even think about administering a Google Workspace without gPanel. There are so many features that Google doesn't have in it's own admin console and gPanel goes above and beyond to fill those gaps. From being able to edit a users GMail settings, to managing delegation and even automating offboarding gPanel has it all. On top of that their support and dedication to their customers is top notch!

Not much to say in the way of cons for this product.

We've been with Promevo for a long time, and gPanel has honestly made managing our Google Workspace so much simpler. Things like onboarding, offboarding, updating signatures, checking permissions, and handling day-to-day user changes take a fraction of the time they used to.
The interface is clean, the tools are practical, and it’s easy to get in, make changes, and move on with your day.

And truly, Promevo’s support team has been great. Whenever we’ve run into a weird issue or needed guidance on best practices, they’ve always been quick to help and very knowledgeable.

gPanel takes a lot of the heavy lifting out of Workspace administration. It’s made it easy for us to:

- Manage user accounts and groups
- Handle email signatures consistently
- Clean up Drive ownership when people leave
- Keep track of sharing settings
- Run bulk updates without spending hours in the Admin console
Overall, it’s helped us streamline workflows and stay organized, especially as our user count has grown.

There’s nothing major that we dislike. As our organization has grown, we’ve noticed that licensing costs add up across hundreds of users, but the value is still there—it saves us time and keeps our Google Workspace organized. Some of the more advanced features take a little time to get comfortable with, but once you know where everything lives, it’s smooth sailing.
