What is CFOUR?

CFOUR is a financial consolidation tool specifically crafted to optimize inter-company accounting by merging data from various sources into a single, centralized interface. It fosters teamwork, allowing groups to accelerate the consolidation process and produce accurate consolidated reports in real time. By clarifying the traditional consolidation workflow, CFOUR delineates it into four distinct stages. First, it aggregates information from diverse sources, such as Excel sheets and ERP systems, into a cohesive data stream. Next, it stabilizes the compilation of subsidiary accounts to formulate management accounts. The system then streamlines the inter-company reconciliation process through journal entries that effectively record and verify inter-company eliminations via an easy-to-use interface. Afterward, the subsidiary accounts are combined with precision, providing a holistic view of the holding company and allowing for the creation of consolidated financial statements. Furthermore, users can quickly generate XBRL or iXBRL files for submission to regulatory authorities like ESMA or to ensure compliance with GAAP, incorporating the necessary taxonomy. This forward-thinking method not only boosts operational efficiency but also significantly enhances the accuracy of financial reporting, ultimately leading to better-informed decision-making.
