What is Builterra?
Builterra brings together the entire contract administration team on a streamlined platform that boosts productivity, increases transparency, and enhances profitability. In 2009, seasoned civil engineering experts Jeff and Chris met and began a series of conversations about technological advancements, which led them to discover a prevalent issue within their industry: a contract administration process that was increasingly outdated. They recognized that the available solutions barely addressed the underlying issues, presenting a unique opportunity to fundamentally reshape the process. From this realization, the innovative Builterra platform emerged, drawing inspiration from Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create a seamless transition of data from initial design ideas to as-constructed information suitable for Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This state-of-the-art digital framework not only standardizes but also optimizes and connects the entire contract administration workflow, covering vital aspects such as cost estimating, bid preparation, field inspections, and progress payment documentation. Users are empowered to conduct quantity take-offs and access real-time cost estimates directly within CAD or the Bid Preparation portal, utilizing historical pricing to ensure precision.
