What is Otus?

Swiftly assess the current standing of students and channel efforts towards their upcoming aspirations. By leveraging materials from national curriculum sources, state practice tests, and initiatives focused on college and career preparedness, these evaluations are crafted to conform to educational benchmarks and mimic the structure of significant digital exams that learners face. They can be easily generated using a straightforward assortment of typical question formats, such as multiple choice, short answer, and true/false styles. Moreover, these assessments are augmented with an array of extensive item banks that incorporate interactive, technology-driven question designs. Educators have the capability to create customized rubrics that clearly define learning objectives and expectations, utilizing an intuitive builder that permits saving and reusing for future assessments. In addition, the system boasts a dynamic, automated gradebook that provides up-to-date insights on student achievement, empowering educators to track progress, adapt instruction, and communicate efficiently with all stakeholders. This cohesive amalgamation of assessment instruments not only simplifies the evaluation process but also enhances the educational journey for students, fostering a more engaging and effective learning environment. As a result, educators are better equipped to support each student's individual path towards success.

What is Lexia PowerUp Literacy?

Lexia® PowerUp Literacy® targets literacy improvement for students in grades 6–12 who are particularly at risk of not meeting College- and Career-Ready Standards. Its effectiveness has been proven to be up to five times greater than standard middle school reading interventions, enabling students to make several years' worth of progress within a single academic year. In grades 6–12, students are anticipated to move from merely learning to read to utilizing their reading skills for knowledge acquisition. However, assessments like the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) highlight a significant opportunity gap, showing that only about one-third of eighth graders attain proficient reading levels. Since reading is essential for most secondary education courses, many students may struggle to achieve their full academic potential. PowerUp provides a solution by leveraging over thirty years of expertise in effective Structured Literacy programs, with Lexia’s literacy specialists customizing it to significantly improve learning outcomes. By concentrating on personalized learning pathways, PowerUp guarantees that each student has the opportunity to conquer literacy obstacles and excel in their educational pursuits, ultimately fostering a more equitable learning environment. This commitment to individualized support helps ensure that no student is left behind in their quest for literacy success.
