What is Sensbench?

Sensbench is a web-based simulator tailored for circuits and microcontrollers, serving as a fantastic resource for education, prototyping, and testing with platforms like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi Pico. Users have the ability to set up virtual boards and components on a digital breadboard, create circuit connections, adjust sketches, compile firmware, and run it on an emulated microcontroller while observing serial outputs and component behavior. The platform further supports SPICE analog simulations and mixed digital-analog circuits, providing a comprehensive toolkit for users. It includes a wide range of guided examples and features virtual components such as sensors, displays, LEDs, and relays to enrich the user experience. An innovative AI builder can convert a written project specification into a complete parts list, wiring diagram, and firmware, while an MCP server enables compatible AI clients to interact with the workbench effortlessly. While the essential features of Sensbench are accessible for free via a web browser, users have the option to purchase additional AI credits and subscription plans for more advanced project functionalities. Additionally, Sensbench offers physical project kits that come equipped with pre-flashed boards and detailed instructional guides, including specialized kits for integration with Home Assistant through local Wi-Fi. This unique blend of virtual resources and tangible project kits positions Sensbench as an adaptable solution for both novices and seasoned enthusiasts in the field. Its commitment to fostering hands-on learning ensures that users can effectively bring their electronic ideas to life.

What is ProWave COMTRADE Viewer?

ProWave is a specialized tool for Windows desktops that allows users to analyze COMTRADE fault and disturbance records obtained from protection relays and digital fault recorders. It supports the interpretation of IEEE C37.111 records from both the 1999 and 2013 versions, accommodating both ASCII and binary formats, which permits engineers to access data from various relay manufacturers through a unified interface. The software enables the opening of multiple records in separate tabs, allowing for synchronization of channels and timings, as well as monitoring of analog current, analog voltage, and digital signals through dedicated plotting panels. With markers T0, T1, and T2, users can easily identify waveform positions along with their corresponding signal values. Furthermore, phasor and harmonic views grant visibility into RMS values, total harmonic distortion, and phase angle measurements linked to cursor positions. A user-friendly file browser enhances the experience by allowing easy filtering of COMTRADE configuration files. The free version is aimed at individual users, while a commercially licensed OEM/enterprise variant is offered for broader deployment within organizations. ProWave requires a system running Windows 11 or later, along with a minimum RAM of 16 GB, to ensure its effective operation and optimal performance. Overall, this extensive feature set positions ProWave as an essential tool for professionals working in the industry, providing them with a robust platform for their analytical needs.
