What is SkyCiv Structural 3D?

SkyCiv Structural 3D is a cloud-based program that facilitates the design, analysis, and modeling of intricate 3D structures without any installation requirements, as it operates entirely online. Renowned as one of the top online structural analysis tools, it boasts a variety of powerful analytical features, including Linear and P-Delta analysis for cables, buckling plate analysis, and frequency response analysis. Additionally, SkyCiv Structural 3D comes equipped with integrated design checks for various materials and standards, such as steel, wood connections, and foundations, while adhering to regulations from AISC, NSD, AISI, EN, AS, CSA, BS, and many others. The versatility and comprehensive nature of this software make it an excellent choice for engineers and designers looking to enhance their structural projects efficiently.

What is MecaWind?

MecaWind is a dedicated software application crafted to calculate wind pressures and loads on the main wind force resisting system (MWFRS) of different structures such as buildings, towers, chimneys, tanks, and solar panels, among others. It complies with the ASCE 7 standard, which serves as the primary reference for design loads in the United States, as established by the American Society of Civil Engineers. This software includes multiple versions of the ASCE 7 standard, along with the Florida Building Code (FBC), providing access to ASCE 7-05, ASCE 7-10, and the updated ASCE 7-16. Each version signifies a unique enhancement to the standard, with ASCE 7-16 being the most recent and incorporating various changes from ASCE 7-10. Although ASCE 7-05 is available within the software, it is not frequently utilized in modern practices across different regions. This extensive toolset not only facilitates engineers in adhering to current building regulations but also enhances their ability to conduct precise wind load evaluations. As a result, MecaWind plays a vital role in improving the safety and reliability of structures against wind-related forces.
