What is HindSight?

HindSight 4 is an innovative multimedia logging recorder created by Exacom, specifically engineered to capture, reconstruct, and analyze essential multi-channel communications with remarkable accuracy. This adaptable tool integrates recordings from various sources, including phone lines, CHE/CPE systems, radios, CAD, RTT/MMS, MCPTX, and a wide variety of other media types, such as videos, images, and data from body-worn cameras, supporting more than 85 different formats. Featuring sophisticated AI transcription capabilities, HindSight 4 improves the clarity of public safety communications by transforming disorganized radio audio into dependable and searchable text. Users have the flexibility to generate these transcriptions on demand or automatically in real time, similar to closed captioning, which greatly simplifies the search process. The system also includes an AI-driven PII audio redaction feature that automatically obscures sensitive information, such as names, phone numbers, and addresses, from public safety recordings, thus speeding up the FOIA processing and protecting private information. Moreover, the platform offers keyword alerts that promptly inform teams when significant phrases are detected over radio or phone, thereby boosting situational awareness and improving response times.
