What is SunDAT?

SunDAT provides an innovative web-based platform for the design of utility-scale and commercial solar photovoltaic systems. Utilizing advanced patented technology, it aims to enhance the Ground Coverage Ratio (GCR) and increase energy production, even in difficult terrain. The system efficiently navigates complex boundaries and obstacles, greatly streamlining the design workflow. By automating various tasks, SunDAT significantly boosts the efficiency of solar design processes, allowing users to easily locate steep slopes or areas within an array that may require grading or should be avoided. Furthermore, the software allows for the creation of visual heatmaps, which can be exported to PVsyst for in-depth analysis, along with facilitating pile length calculations with ease. It supports exporting project data in multiple formats, including PDF, DXF, and DAE, which enhances its compatibility with design programs like AutoCAD and PVsyst for additional refinement and assessment. SunDAT Web is specifically designed to cater to both large utility projects and commercial PV installations, ranging from expansive 150MW ground-mount systems to smaller 2 MW rooftop projects. With SunDAT, users can be confident that their solar designs are not only effective in energy production but also optimized for the best use of available land. This comprehensive tool is essential for professionals aiming to maximize their renewable energy initiatives.

What is PVCAD?

For solar designers who prioritize precision and accuracy, PVCAD delivers unparalleled efficiency, enabling faster completion of design projects and job estimates. By leveraging the extensive integrated databases within PVCAD, users can significantly reduce the time spent on tasks while also decreasing the likelihood of costly mistakes. The database is continuously updated and boasts thousands of modules, inverters, and racking partners, providing users the option to easily incorporate their own equipment through the dedicated button in the PVCAD ribbon. If you are interested in having your products featured in our expanding database, we would love to hear from you. Furthermore, PVCAD utilizes production modeling sourced from PVWATTS, a resource created by NREL, to generate precise 8760 data that outlines hourly energy production for the entire year. Designers can confidently rely on the accuracy of their models thanks to current weather data obtained globally from Meteonorm. The software's compatibility with AutoCAD enables users to achieve the highest level of precision in system measurements compared to any other drafting software available. With such a wealth of resources at their fingertips, designers are equipped to deliver expert-quality outcomes, raising the standard of their projects significantly. This thorough methodology not only boosts efficiency but also instills greater confidence in the results produced. Embracing these advanced tools can transform the way solar projects are designed and executed, ultimately benefiting the entire industry.
