What is Docket?

Docket is a specialized tool tailored for studios and agencies to effectively manage scope changes, specifically targeting the frequent issue of tracking client requests that arise during a project. Clients can conveniently submit their change requests through a user-friendly link that eliminates the need for account registration, allowing them to clearly articulate their needs, reasons, reference materials, and deadlines. After a request is submitted, you receive immediate notifications to assess its impact, enabling you to accept, decline, or initiate a discussion while also providing cost and time estimates. Docket generates a concise summary, such as, "Adding the dashboard: +3 days, +$800. Approval required before work begins," and sends this information back to the client via a link, facilitating swift approval or rejection within moments. The approval process is carefully timestamped, attributed, and stored permanently, complete with email alerts and click tracking, and it offers optional verification for projects of considerable financial importance. Each project is supported by a detailed log that can be filtered and exported as a signed PDF, which proves beneficial for invoicing and resolving any disputes, thereby promoting a clear and organized workflow. Additionally, this systematic approach fosters improved communication and accountability between agencies and their clients, significantly reducing the chances of misunderstandings while enhancing overall project management efficiency.
