The platform guarantees secure interactions among the public and court staff such as attorneys, public defenders, probation officers, clerks, interpreters, and judges. Additionally, the iCourt system allows individuals to electronically sign essential documents like Acknowledgment of Rights forms, probation-related paperwork, community service agreements, and notices for rescheduling. Court staff also benefit from the capability to effortlessly transfer cases, invite colleagues to participate in real-time hearings, and initiate private video chats during sessions, all of which fosters better collaboration and efficiency. The integration of technology in the judicial system through iCourt represents a significant advancement towards modernizing legal proceedings for the benefit of all stakeholders.

What is Stenobox?

Stenobox provides a viable alternative to MaxScribe tailored for digital and electronic court reporters as well as legal transcriptionists. By facilitating the upload of audio recordings from court sessions or depositions, Stenobox creates a formatted transcript draft that captures verbatim dialogue, identifies speakers, and adheres to proper court date and case formatting, while also incorporating headers for examinations and functionalities for interpreter coordination. Users benefit from receiving a nearly finished draft rather than starting from scratch, enabling them to cross-reference it with the original audio before finalizing it as the official record. The platform is designed to focus on transcript production, allowing users to confirm accuracy without the hassle of retyping content. Moreover, it features a built-in review tool that marks sections needing attention, and users can easily click on any word to replay the corresponding segment from the audio for convenient verification. Plans run $129 a month for 25 audio hours, $199 for 50, or $349 for 100, with $25 buying 5 more hours — no fees based on minutes — and a 7-day trial period is available for newcomers to test the service. This subscription service functions on a month-to-month basis, providing flexibility for users to cancel at their discretion. Importantly, uploaded audio files are automatically deleted after 30 days unless users choose to keep them longer, ensuring that recordings are not used for other purposes, thereby safeguarding the privacy and integrity of the user's files during their engagement with Stenobox. In addition, this commitment to user confidentiality reinforces the platform's reliability and trustworthiness in the legal and transcription sectors.
