ActCAD Software Reviews

We have been using ActCAD for the longest time and it's very convenient to use. Our team is used to this tool and can execute drawing perfectly or with just minimal error but not impacting the overall project. The only downside that I can see is that you will not be able to open the drawing that you created with the updated version to the old version.

It has the option to print in all sizes of paper. We can customize objects, unlike the other software that has only standard features. It has an impressive display and a range of options for customization.

It can be a bit challenging to use especially for beginners and drawing sometimes lag or crashes especially when you continue using it for a very long period of time without breaks. and there are no 3D models importing.

ActCAD is a user friendly software with life time license and Easy to learn even for beginners also.

Best price with perpetual license without any subscription.
Supports many CAD files.
Support response is also great.

None. I really like ActCAD, it is a good substitute for AutoCAD.

Overall experience is good with ACTCAD software.
Small issues that I have explained above, need to do work on the same.

Block editing options needs more options like other products.
Block copy & paste have some errors, many times this command doesn't work, need to fix this bug.
Layer setting need to make easy.
If we work on .dwg file from other CAD software the original file setting gets interrupted & we couldn't work easily.
Software becomes slow on working large files.
Customer support numbers should be easily available.
Need good technical team for customer care.

I have used this for a house addition and a few woodworking projects. All of my AutoCAD files have transferred with no issues. Very satisfied with the program.

The program works very similar to AutoCAD at a much more affordable price. Command structure is similar and some actually work better.

So far I don't have any negatives. I would like to see a program with an intuitive 3d command structure.

Getting the Dongle was the best choice for me. Having two location to use the program is useful. Happy to say goodbye to AutoCad.

Simply put, it works just fine. If you want to save big money, get ActCad.
Having the ability to call AJ is of great help. And the 15 day free trial, way cool.

Tutorial videos could be better. I have the 2021 Pro package. Most tutorial are on newer releases.

This is a top notch program for personal design as I do, and is well suited for business applications.

ActCAD 2021 Standard is very much like AutoCAD LT that I used for many years during my industrial employment. I'm very happy with the performance of ActCAD 2021. I was impressed with the low cost of the program as well. I am currently retired, and enjoy designing prior to building my projects. This helps me to evaluate costs and avoid many mistakes.

I had some difficulty with an update of the program. This was quickly rectified with help from the support team.

I am glad that I made the purchase when I saw it. Again great support from the team.
Will definitely recommend to others about this software.

ActCAD 2021 professional is a relatively affordable software which I bought at USD 299 after discount. ActCad 2021 is a perpetual software and I don't have to renew it yearly. Software is similar to AutoCAD but much much affordable. As for support, I was surprised that they responded to my query during their Diwali holidays and for that I am grateful. I would strongly recommend it if anyone is looking for a software like ActCad 2021.

I don't have much time to use this often due to other work commitments. Though I have tried several drawings. No other related issues though.

I like ActCAD very much and recommend it to all as it very a good product in very reasonable price range.

The ActCAD software is good to work with, is quite user friendly, very user friendly to release and recover software.

Need a better library, if the team can develop a BIM Software (like archicad) that would be much more better.

The experience using Act CAD has been great so far. I work as an engineer and it has the all the tools I need.

Permanent License.
Very easy to work with if you have worked with the most famous CAD software.
The vast majority of the tools needed are included.

More video tutorials, manuals, forums.
Although it is possible, an easy way to update the software keeping the permanent license.

I strongly recommend to use this software.

Good option for CAD users. It is a good software for laptop users/ travelers who are seeking the low cost solution in CAD.

Key objects and options are quite visible on screen and also helpful for eyes when working on laptop's small screen.

Lisp support is very useful and easy. It supports shape files and many GIS output formats which is very helpful for GIS users.

I liked the simplicity of interface and the size of the software itself, which helps us to run it in lower configuration PC too. It is 70% more or less like AutoCAD only.. be it the commands or the interface. If you have worked on AutoCAD, this will be quite easy to follow.

sometime gives slow response... particularly during the Hatching.The complex structure files generates a lots of errors, although they are corrected by using file audit.

I am very satisfied with ActCAD. I have been renewing my license with each update and would like to purchase other products from the company.

Actcad is very similar to its direct competitor.
Works lightly.
It is stable and has no crashes.
The support service is excellent. They are fast and accurate in solving doubts, which in turn are very few.
The price is competitive and, in my view, fair.

I don't see any technical problems with the program. I really think it's excellent.
Perhaps they could have a more attractive upgrade price for existing customers.

I was looking for something that worked like AutoCAD without the high cost. I had used AutoCAD from the 2005 up to the 2013 version.
Then I found some alternatives that worked almost the same.
ACTcad is the first program I've used that seems identical to those older versions of AutoCAD which I prefer.

Commands are identical to AutoCAD.
Interface is similar to AutoCAD.
Much lower cost.
Easy set up and integration.
Fast start up.

Haven't found any problems so far. Maybe the color scheme. I can probably change that.

After installing ActCAD 2020 BIM my Artisan not working. Called so many times but still not working please help me to start Artisan.
