The APS team has been engaged in our relationship as a true business partner, not just a service provider. When we first started with them, we had a couple of years of ongoing deep dives to enhance the system functionality to meet our needs. They have always been open to the discussions and work to do what is reasonably possible to meet the expectations. Overall, their customer service has always been on point. We decided to venture out to another service provider in 2021, but it was a nightmare and after about 6 months we had to pivot overnight. APS welcomed us back without hesitation and made it appear effortless from their side to get us back up and operating. We value our business relationship with them in many ways!
PositiveCustomer service! It is an intuitive platform, the admin side of the system is also very intuitive, the reporting functionality has grown over time and has simplicity to its structure but gets you what you need. The benefits platform has evolved and has been a lifesaver for us by reducing significant admin burden and is simple in structure for the user. APS hire and onboarding is simple and makes the process streamlined and paperless. In general, the system can be tailored to your needs in multiple areas. Where we have run into issues, they are very willing to dig in and work with their development team whenever possible.
NegativeThere are always tweaks and improvements that could be made but overall, no cons worth noting.

PositiveReports are good, ability to allocate salaries and export the payroll entry is a big time saver. The interface is user friendly.
NegativeThe system is not very coordinated / there are not alerts provided for the chain reaction that a change in one area causes in other areas. For instance, updating the base department for an employee requires admin to populate an additional pay rate for hourly employees for the new base department. This has caused us payroll issues in the past.

THE ONLY TRUE TURN-KEY, TOTAL PACKAGE, HRIS SYSTEM
Updated: Dec 01 2023SummaryAfter extensive, exhaustive reviews of ADP, UKG/Ulti Pro, NetSuite, Pay Com, Paycor, Bamboo HR, SAP, Workday, Namely, Ripple & APS the choice was glaringly obvious. APS, hands-down is the only fully unified HRIS platform and eats the other HRIS operations lunch when it comes to intuitiveness and ease of use. Switching from UKG was a cinch and I had a dedicated team that held our hands every step of the way providing training to all management at the time of switching and any time it is needed. If I have an issue I’m unsure of my dedicated service team who knows me by name answers my emails with a resolve within 20 minutes almost every time.
I have used many platforms over course of my career and you do not get the same level of service and care from any other HRIS provider out there.
I command a robust HR army of two... without APS I'd be bald and my generalist would have quit her job already. Seriously, having APS as our workforce partner has allowed me to do more strategic HR programs that even bigger companies struggle with. Even throughout the pandemic, my team was readily accessible during business hours, either by message online or by phone, and I have never been disappointed by their ability to help solve my (mostly self-induced) payroll issues.
