    I've worked with a lot of providers and this experience is what it should be like be like but rarely is.

    The software product is highly customizable, and so far the staff are what have made our implementation exceptional. They've hired a group of knowledgeable and capable folks that communicate clearly and timely. They've accommodated our needs that are outside of the norm.

    So far nothing. There are some small things they're working on adding to the platform but already have them in development.

    We have a unique org structure and require a lot of unique operational functions. The APS team has been engaged in our relationship as a true business partner, not just a service provider. When we first started with them, we had a couple of years of ongoing deep dives to enhance the system functionality to meet our needs. They have always been open to the discussions and work to do what is reasonably possible to meet the expectations. Overall, their customer service has always been on point. We decided to venture out to another service provider in 2021, but it was a nightmare and after about 6 months we had to pivot overnight. APS welcomed us back without hesitation and made it appear effortless from their side to get us back up and operating. We value our business relationship with them in many ways!

    Customer service! It is an intuitive platform, the admin side of the system is also very intuitive, the reporting functionality has grown over time and has simplicity to its structure but gets you what you need. The benefits platform has evolved and has been a lifesaver for us by reducing significant admin burden and is simple in structure for the user. APS hire and onboarding is simple and makes the process streamlined and paperless. In general, the system can be tailored to your needs in multiple areas. Where we have run into issues, they are very willing to dig in and work with their development team whenever possible.

    There are always tweaks and improvements that could be made but overall, no cons worth noting.

    I like APS in general but I do think there could be more coordination across the platform, or at least alerts when coordination is not available.

    Reports are good, ability to allocate salaries and export the payroll entry is a big time saver. The interface is user friendly.

    Negative

    The system is not very coordinated / there are not alerts provided for the chain reaction that a change in one area causes in other areas. For instance, updating the base department for an employee requires admin to populate an additional pay rate for hourly employees for the new base department. This has caused us payroll issues in the past.

    As much as I'd love to give this product a higher score, I fear I am not utilizing it's features to its full potential and often find myself overwhelmed.

    I love the multitude of capabilities that APS offers. It's organized and provides a vast array of features so we can customize payroll processes and employee information to our needs. We take full advantage of the support ticket feature and appreciate the prompt response.

    I often refer to APS as a spaceship. Knowing the vast capabilities, we are often left wondering if we even utilize the features to their full potential. We find ourselves overwhelmed and end up drafting our own spreadsheets manually to pull the data we need in the way we need it.

    THE ONLY TRUE TURN-KEY, TOTAL PACKAGE, HRIS SYSTEM

    Summary

    After extensive, exhaustive reviews of ADP, UKG/Ulti Pro, NetSuite, Pay Com, Paycor, Bamboo HR, SAP, Workday, Namely, Ripple & APS the choice was glaringly obvious. APS, hands-down is the only fully unified HRIS platform and eats the other HRIS operations lunch when it comes to intuitiveness and ease of use. Switching from UKG was a cinch and I had a dedicated team that held our hands every step of the way providing training to all management at the time of switching and any time it is needed. If I have an issue I’m unsure of my dedicated service team who knows me by name answers my emails with a resolve within 20 minutes almost every time.

    I have used many platforms over course of my career and you do not get the same level of service and care from any other HRIS provider out there.

    I command a robust HR army of two... without APS I'd be bald and my generalist would have quit her job already. Seriously, having APS as our workforce partner has allowed me to do more strategic HR programs that even bigger companies struggle with. Our HR department has a seat at the executive table and those leaders look to us for data and strong analytics and we are able to easily provide those KPI's because of APS.

    We were looking for a solution that met the needs of our small organization. We needed efficient payroll services, timekeeping features, and an employee database. We are very happy with our choice of APS. From the first phone call with Kaylee to explain the product options, to the implementation and set up with Darl, the training with Riza, and now using the product on a daily basis with support from our assigned team, everyone at APS is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and quick to answer our questions. We recommend APS.

    APS is designed for a small business like us. The features are customizable to fit your needs. Each client is assigned a customer service team dedicated to your company. They respond to any questions quickly and make the implementation process seamless. You can choose the package that best fits your company's needs, which offers a good value for the product. APS is such a marked improvement from the bigger payroll companies, there is no comparison.

    Negative

    There is a small learning curve since the software has so many customizable options, but once you spend some time in the software it is fairly intuitive. Whenever I had a question I could look in the library of help topics or reach out to APS with a question.

    APS is a great tool for payroll and HR. I have been outsourcing my payroll for almost 20 years, and I can honestly say APS has been one of the best decisions I ever made. The product is easy to navigate, customizable to my company uniqueness, and was very easy to learn and master. The support is unsurpassed, and one of the greatest teams I've ever worked with.

    Cost are changing everywhere, and continue to rise, but APS is still worth the investment.

    I cannot over-emphasize how fantastic APS's customer service is. As a client, I am assigned to a customer care team which means that I am constantly working with the same group of people. Even throughout the pandemic, my team was readily accessible during business hours, either by message online or by phone, and I have never been disappointed by their ability to help solve my (mostly self-induced) payroll issues.

    Positive

    Top-notch customer service: I can rely upon very quick, professional, knowledgeable, and familiar assistance every time
    User-friendly interface: I am not a payroll professional, so I need a system that is logical and intuitive both for me and for our employees.

    Value-Pricing: it's been a few years since we switched over to APS, but at that time, I was paying another service more money each month for considerably less functionality.

    Negative

    The only piece I haven't mastered is accruals/leave. We have varied leave policies based on hours worked and seniority which complicates the process for me.

    The whole process from sales to implementation and training is exceptional. he team I worked with couldn't have been better. Ben, Laura and Riza are just super.

    The system is really easy to use and the help files are excellent. It really is an intuitive program.

    I find the reporting module a little cumbersome. I can't always find what I am looking for. I wish some items were a little more self-serve; ex. adding PPTO configurations.
