I am highly likely to switch to a different company when I have time to try another. Until then I’ll carry on using DeskTime, and hopefully they might fix things before I switch.

I am able to track the hours I work on each customer’s projects and bill each customer accurately, including with screenshot logs

1. There is de facto no iOS app, since it prohibits long passwords, so I can’t login to it (despite being able to login no problem on the Windows app); whereas I want to be able to log project time on the move when I don’t have my laptop switched on.
2. On Windows it can only take screenshots every 5 minutes which is WAY too long! Every 5 seconds would be my preference, or even better a screen recording.
3. I used DeskTime 6 years ago and I believe at the time you could edit your application title logs but now it looks like you can’t.
4. The new interface is somewhat clunky, with the same information visible on multiple different pages, sometimes with different information mixed in.
5. It is very difficult to know when a project is started because the system tray icon for idle and running are too similar; they should probably be different colours or flash when idle. This means that I often forget to start or stop a project.
6. When idle it continues taking screenshots and logging application titles, unless you enable private time; whereas I want to disable screenshots and tracking on idle. This means that when I show my customers their report, they’re seeing my YouTube videos etc in their log - not good!

Overall it's a good tool to assess the time limit of the screen usage and plan the connections so that all the software will run smoothly and it can help in decision making of management. Installation procedure is very easy and supports many features.

It's a very good software for tracking the screen time and software utilized in a day. It records all the time and provides the report of usage. It helps in planning of software needed to install and manage the timing of the staff as well.

Installation files save on the main drive and required to be updated.

Overall, this software has paid for itself many times over. Helps us to ensure more accurate time tracking and computer monitoring. We are able to use this to figure out how to better prioritize our resources and workflow. The real time reports help management to see how the organization, and individual employees are working. This has helped us to implement improvements and changes that everyone likes.

This is an all-in-one computer monitoring system that has paid for itself since it has been implemented. The software allows my employees to better track their time without having to be obsessed with it. It also allows our organization to see what all the remote workers are working on. This is invaluable at this time. It also helps us to prioritize what we need to work on, and who has time to do it.

No complaints yet, really enjoy this software. Occasionally slows down for a short period of time, but never a huge issue.

Great tool for every business functioning right now in the pandemic.
The trial period could have been longer for people to make better decisions.

As of today we haven't find one, an app will be great instead of the website.

Good reporting, accurate data and ability to make changes adhoc. Work Schedules report should have the ability to be grouped by period (day, week, month, etc.)

The scheduling part and the reports are good.

It is the most user friendly monitoring tool and there is an option to not track the browser and it is visible to the user so they know you are not hiding something from them.

Sometimes, when you are doing a zoom meeting and not moving your mouse, your'e being marked as idle.

It's a good app, could improve the understanding of productivity vs. effectiveness. It's a little confusing.

This is a great product and I look forward to using it often. The pricing is low compared to other options out there. Since the machine uses an agent more detailed data is pulled into the console.

This tool is great and is pretty accurate when it comes to verifying idle time. I also like the ability to see machine names of servers acceded using RPD client. Simply hover over any application used and you can see more details for each application.

Multi-tasking really isn’t calculated. You can’t stack projects if you are working on more than one item at a time.

I would particularly suggest DeskTime for a tiny company. It's an excellent source with numerous choices for individual records and overview tracking.

The programme is extremely good for the time and software of the screen to be tracked. It also enables our company to observe on what all remote workers work. At this moment, this is unworthy. It also allows us to make what we need and who has time to do it a priority.

It truly isn't computed multi-tasking. If you're working on than one item at a time, you can't stack projects.

With so many people working from home now, it's easy to get distracted and lose focus. Desktime helped to address these concerns.

Desktime really helps users track their time very easily with such an attractive and intuitive interface. The ability to customize a lot of the features and settings is the reason why we decided to go with Desktime.

An easy productivity tracking software program that I would recommend to other IT Professionals no matter what sector of the IT business.

The simplicity of the software and the ease of setup. You can also check your own personal statistics at any time.

The application has to run directly on the users desktop and cannot be setup under an administrative account and expected to keep track of the actual user logged into the machine. I attempted to use task scheduler to try and run it and it did not work.

As a project manager, desktime helps me figure out authenticity of the time invested by our resources in different projects and it helps me have a birds eye view on the actual efforts and productivity without having to do many things manually.
The automation that it brings in is really rewarding to me and i use at times as a performance measuring tool as well.

1) Data is well distributed between projects and teams.
2) The KPI cards are very meaningful and it lets you figure things out without getting into details pretty much.
3) Ability to go private when required.
4) Ability to request offline time.
5) Ability to define which apps are productive per team.
6) Daily reports to create a reward system sort of projection among managers as to who are the most productive employees.
7) View your own performance as well as standing with other resources in the company.
8) Ability to define and track resources who use unwanted, unethical websites or unproductive apps as well.

1) Somehow, a tracking system among employees/resources is never really appreciated. Having an app run in the background and track you freaks most of the new joiners out post onboarding.

Overall this software/ program is serving the purpose that we need it to do, it has helped us increase productivity and we also now we can gauge how long it takes to complete a task.

DeskTime has been very helpful with tracking employee's productivity and actually increasing productivity, since our employees know that their activity is being tracked. It is very easy to use and being able to integrate Trello to create projects is a big plus.

Automatic Archiving of projects after a certain amount of time has been a big issue for us. Especially since some of our projects aren't projects that we work on everyday or even every month. Some of our projects are yearly projects. So we have had some issues unarchiving projects and them re-archiving the next week.

Although I eventually went with a different piece of software, I would recommend Desktime if it fits your needs. Because I was having attendance issues, I need to have my people clock in and out plus track when they've been idle and I really had a hard time with Desktime for that.

However, if you're looking for something that helps you track productivity, this is definitely the one to go with. I've literally tried all the other software and I would say hands down, this is the best to track productivity.

What I really liked about Desktime was the real-time (or at least almost real-time) dashboard of who was online or who wasn't (compared to other software that I tried). Also the auto logging in is a good feature that's also not available on other platforms. There's some cool stuff like a team resource area where you can see all the people in your org and that's helpful if you don't have a central area to put up that information. Also, the productive monitor is probably the best so far out of all the platforms I've tried. It lets you know who's doing questionable things and takes screenshots so you can remediate ASAP. It's also the least expensive option with tiered discounts for higher volume of seats which is a nice bonus.

One thing that I didn't like was also the auto-login. I actually wanted to turn it off so that I could make sure my people weren't logging in when they weren't actually working (all my employees work remotely on their own personal computers). It was a little confusing when it come break down between online time, desktime time and idle time. I needed my system to track their time and I had to manually look at when they logged in and out so that was cumbersome.

It's very easy and affordable. For work from home culture it will help to monitor user activity. They will also provide demo.

I would recommend DeskTime, especially for a smaller business. It is a great source for individual records and overall tracking with various options to focus on.

A feature I like and find useful are the screenshots. It has been beneficial to go back for review and find information that was not thought of to be important at the time and was not saved or documented. The screenshots give a clear and accurate of overlooked information. It's great and convenient.

For some reason, there are times when DeskTime will just disappear from the desktop. It will still be downloaded but myself or other employees will have to go and install it again. This doesn't happened often but when it does, it can go unnoticed for a good portion of a day or more.
Thankfully, we are able to fix times as needed.
