Houzz Pro simplified my life
Updated: Feb 16 2026SummaryMy business has become easier and more profitable due to Houzz Pro. I also feel like I have a team to help me, even though I am a sole proprietor.
PositiveThe Houzz Pro tools make my workload much more efficient. Everything I need is at my finger tips. Many functions would take me hours to do before I got Houzz Pro software.
NegativeI don't like when the updates come and I can't find something right away. (But I realize that is life these days)

Review
Date: Feb 26 2026SummaryWish Houzz checked all of the boxes, but it has pros and cons when compared with the BuilderTrend software that I came from.
PositiveUser interface is responsive and friendly
Suite of features is comprehensive (mile wide)
Pricing is compelling
AI help agent is usually quite helpfulNegativeIntegration w/ QuickBooks is lacking significantly: two way communication. Linking to existing product/services in QB

So helpful!
Date: Mar 31 2026SummaryVery helpful and gets my job done quicker! Support is quick to respond. Easy to get the hang of it!!
PositiveThe portal is streamlined and more straight forward than other design portals. Like how you can edit what the client sees
NegativeCould use some additional use cases when creating floor plans (half walls, picture moulding). I think budget and proposal are redundant. can just have proposal and then should be able to convert this to selections tracker and mood boards and then to invoice. I never know what step to start on- selections tracker or proposal!

Get ready to have some Personal life back!
Date: Feb 19 2026SummaryAs above. It will change the way you run your business for the better, trust me.
PositiveIf you want everything in one place, and to keep everything super organized where you and your client can find it, any time of the day, this is the software for you. There are a ton of tools here, all that are going to help you run and track your business so much better than any other build software. I have tried all the others, and even combinations of them, but for the past 2 years I have been using HouzzPro and been working with the development team, giving them feedback, and they are constantly improving upon what they have, and always looking for make it better.
NegativeNone. really nothing to complain about.

Houzz Pro review
Date: Mar 04 2026SummaryWorst of worst. Paid for year. What a loss. Customer service is not great. Don’t want to listen to their customer.
PositiveNothing is better about it. At demo they show some good points but when you stat using than you know you still have to make or feed your input and some price. Will not give you material list. You think you are paying something to save time to make estimate but in end you will waste more time learning and still have to figure material. their AI is joke.
NegativeWould not recommend to anyone . There are better options out there. Before you jump in and pay for it get full free trial. Their main focus is on payment. Where they can make 3% from your estimate

Overall a Great Value
Updated: Aug 14 2025SummaryEven with those few limitations, I highly recommend Houzz Pro to any design business looking to get organized, elevate their client experience, and streamline their workflow.
PositiveWe get a lot out of Houzz Pro — it’s become an essential tool for our daily operations. We use it for everything from proposals and invoicing to collecting payments, creating floor plans, and producing 3D renderings. The 3D tool, in particular, has completely transformed the way I present designs to clients. It makes it so much easier for them to visualize their space, and it's had a noticeable impact on closing sales.
Houzz Pro is also constantly rolling out new features and improvements, which shows they're committed to helping businesses like mine succeed. Overall, I’m very pleased with what Houzz Pro offers — it’s streamlined my workflow and elevated the way I serve my clients.NegativeThere are a few areas where we’d love to see further development. More robust financial features would be great — currently we have to integrate with QuickBooks, which works but adds a layer of complexity. We'd also love the ability to create new business proposals directly in the platform and collect approval signatures from clients, all within Houzz Pro.

Customer Interface made easy
Date: Oct 04 2025SummaryI am very happy and plan to keep using this. I would like to see more features on the business owner end
PositiveThis allows a simple/professional and all inclusive view from the customer point of view. They can approve an estimate, sign a contract and pay all in one place.
NegativeThese is no way simple way to just have office or shop assignments that aren’t associated to a project. Also hour tracking integrated into this would make things better.

It has potential but buggy in my experience
Date: Sep 05 2025SummaryI'm hoping my experience gets better, but right now its just not a smooth transition. It's buggy. I can't figure out how to even schedule an estimate unless I'm on the computer.
PositiveI love the 3D floor plans. It's actually won a $10k job for me. I don't think I can try to say too much more that I like about the software. I'm just trying to get to the required characters.
NegativeIt's very hard to use. I'm still trying to figure it out on my own. The room scanner is for Apple only. If you're an Android user, you need to buy a new device to use this feature.

Support is hard to reach. I have had a couple of times where I reached out and didn't get an answer back from my 'dedicated support'. Opps, I didn't see the email that you sent twice! Opps, I'm sorry you called, left a voice mail but I didn't know it until midday the next day.
The software seems buggy. That's the answer I keep getting. -

PositiveI like how easy it is to navigate around, and all the tutorials on how to use everything are very useful!
NegativeI don't see any cons as of the moment! Everything was nice and easy to use.

Great for Interior Designers!
Date: Aug 18 2025SummaryOverall, Houzz has been a helpful platform for growing my business and showcasing my work, especially when used strategically. It’s not perfect—there’s room for improvement in lead quality and pricing transparency—but the tools, exposure, and client-facing features make it a worthwhile investment for design professionals who want to elevate their online presence and streamline communication.
PositiveHouzz has been an invaluable tool for my interior design and event planning business. The platform offers a seamless way to showcase my portfolio, connect with potential clients, and manage inquiries—all in one place.
The ability to tag products, link to vendors, and organize projects visually makes it easy for clients to understand the design direction and feel confident in the process. I especially appreciate the review system, which helps build trust and credibility with new leads.
Houzz’s Pro features—like mood boards, estimate tools, and client communication—have streamlined my workflow and elevated the client experience. It’s more than just a marketing tool; it’s a hub for collaboration and growth.
Highly recommend for designers, builders, and anyone looking to grow their presence while staying organized and professional.NegativeWhile Houzz offers great visibility and tools for professionals, the lead quality can be inconsistent. Some inquiries feel more like casual browsing than serious interest, which can lead to time spent on follow-ups that don’t convert.

Additionally, the pricing structure for Pro features isn’t always transparent, and it can be hard to gauge ROI without a clear breakdown of where your investment is going. A bit more clarity and filtering options for leads would make a big difference -

Useful for Interior Designers
Date: Jan 14 2025SummaryWe switched from Ivy to Houzz Pro last year and the new interface has a lot of perks and even extras that we haven't yet used. Overall the proposal, invoice, and PO function run smoothly and we use them every day.
PositiveCreating proposals for clients in Houzz Pro is easy so that we have a record of each product to order and they are able to approve each product and sign off so nothing falls through the cracks.
NegativeWe do wish that the approve and decline function would save before the client presses submit, so that we can review their selections before they sign off. We also would love a function to create a Logistical Costs proposal based on a percentage of all the approved proposals. For example a receiving charge for 6% of all furnishing costs.

I love Houzz
Date: Sep 19 2025SummaryOverall, everything is great and it works great as the CRM. And basic design service. Love that they are always innovating.
PositiveHouzz Pro has provided amazing features that our business was looking for. Budgeting, scheduling, and designing tools.

Houzz Pro!!!
Date: Aug 22 2025SummaryHands down best estimating software I have used. I tried Housecall pro but didn’t like it and went back to Houzz. I am 100% satisfied with Houzz Pro.
PositiveHouzz pro has taken my small remodeling contracting business to the next level. I never realized how much money I was missing out on before Houzz. The estimating software is easy to use and clients pay from my estimate and goes into my bank account. My company is Breakout Home Services. They have a 3D drawing you can make for the client and they love seeing it before the work is done. It’s amazing I couldn’t be any happier with a product. Oh and the support from them is nice to I’ve never had a problem getting any kind of support I needed
NegativeHaven’t found one yet. Well I guess it doesn’t link to my google advertising for me but that’s it

Finally an Affordable Software for Contractors
Date: Dec 02 2025SummaryI have been waiting for a program that can take care of all the project management tasks and tools as well as all the business operation functions such as contracts, trade managements, and accounting (integrates with Intuit Quickbooks).
I was able to get rid of 3 subscriptions and consolidate all my project info into one platform.PositiveGreat Project Management tools organizing
Integrates with accounting software
Steamlines Client communication
Estimating tools literally make estimates fun to do instead of dreading them.
Affordable!NegativeI really like the Design Software, I haven't had a lot of time to explore all the functions. It's great for overall plans and pictures for clients, but it's harder to get good detailed drawings for the trades to build off of.

Good workflow software
Date: Oct 16 2025SummaryI thing this is an amazing software to work, it it worth it, the only side of it I do not recommend it is the lead generation " marketing" service.
PositiveI love all the workflow, it makes your daily tasks easy and cover all the points for my Interior Design Trade.
NegativeThe Marketing service it is not working right, lets say, out of 5 leads, 1 seems to be a real person but ends being a sales person trying to sale you on something and the rest are fake leads., I google them to try to find info about the person and call and is it not real. That service it is not worth it yet, it needs some work on logistics and verify the leads to make sure they are not bots.

Houzz Pro Custom
Date: Oct 08 2025SummaryThe software is decent with a lot of features, but overall is fairly pricey when factoring in some of the missing elements. Probably better suited for sales and design only, but is lacking in great project management and expense control. ACH debit is pricey and adds up quick if you do a lot of larger ticket projects. We typically do projects that are $10k and up, which hit the max on the project and in many cases, we hit the cap on several project payments. As a general contractor completing many types of jobs and requiring sales and project management, we have found it to have a lot of features with many that need a lot of improvements.
PositiveWe have used this software for several years and switched to custom approximately 1 year ago. Estimates/quotes are very professional looking and the layout is eye appealing. Text message is available from the CRM, along with email and messages within the software. Easy communication with team members and sub contractors makes it easy to share important information, files, and photos. Many AI features that can assist with becoming more efficient.
Negative- Photos are slow to load in the field.

- Customer/Project expenses are not easily tracked and could be improved for better understanding of savings/losses within a project to manage profit better.
- You can only have 1 main point of contact per project.
- Many AI features are not very accurate, but I am sure this will improve in time.
- Collecting payment within the CRM is easy, although the cost is relatively high. 1% with a $100 cap for ACH debit and 3.6% for credit card.
- Nowhere to add an expiration date on quotes. -

Would keep forever if they lowered their prices
Date: Aug 30 2025SummaryAll in all love and would stay if they were competitive with design files, studio designer or my doma.
PositiveI love this system and have been using it for years! It is a great way to keep all of your client's data organized. I love the invoices, POs, and floor plans.
NegativeHowever, they just raised their prices and other CRMs are half the price. I can't justify spending double. They make so much off my CC fees from clients that I wish that would lower my monthly price. I'm really wishing I didn't have to transfer everything over, but that's my goal for next month.
