Overall I'm giving Intrexx a 4.9/5 rating.

All the pros that Intrexx present, just simply cannot be overlooked, and once you will try Intrexx and use it, you will see just how easy it actually is to use the platform and how quick it will be to get going on with developing.

Pretty good interface, with nice windows that separate modules between each other such as the Application module, Process module, Design module, etc.

I cannot emphasize how easy it is to basically get a portal up and running with this.

Seeking some information about Intrexx as an English speaker can sometimes be a pain, but you will still find some, maybe just not as well documented.

It has a really quick setup for all the basic elements.

Most of the settings are intuitive and require only basic to no prior knowledge.

A lot of neat libraries are incorporated within Intrexx.

Updates are frequently pushed.

The developers of Intrexx provide an online guide, regarding most of the functionality and configuration.

Besides the online guide, there are also explanations for various methods/functionalities used, inside Intrexx.

It provides snippets of code, based on what you're searching for, so it saves some time.

Multilingual support.

Quick response time from the support team.

It removes a lot of preparation work to get a project standing on its feet, especially with a low-coding approach.

It incorporates everything you need to have a project going on. From various external connectors, to easy mail services configuration, to various modules that increase the quality of life.

The English translation, especially for articles regarding information about some functionality, is rather lacking.

Some settings can be reached pretty unintuitive.

It can be quite limited when it comes to more advanced functionalities, and may require workarounds.

I have been using Intrexx since the beginning of 2019 and have been able to implement many projects during this time.
The Intrexx Portal Manager in particular is a perfect tool for creating applications of all kinds.

I can only recommend Intrexx.

- The modular principle makes it very easy to create applications and processes.
- The portalmanager is very organized.
- The Support from Intrexx is fast and competent.
- If you do not get any further with the on-board resources, it is easy to help out with external resources (javascript, Groovy, etc.)

- Looking for more 3rd party plugins in the next time.

After having used Intrexx as a development platform as well as having worked with Intrexx portals as a user/administrator, i could really recommend the use of this software. The amount of time you need to get a system up and running with a few basic applications you need to make your work a lot easier is comparatively short.

You could create an easy to use application from scratch without much hassle in a short amount of time. To create such applications as input, some basic evaluation and display of data there is no need to write a single line of code.

Really complex applications with intertwined data structures and integrated non-basic workflows would still need a fair amount of coding.

From the extranet as a portal to use in Industry 4.0, Intrexx as a low-code expert ensures fast and easy implementation.

With Intrexx, projects can be implemented more quickly. Why? The answer is quite simple.With the help of low code, it is possible to create entire portals within a very short time. The needs of the customer are put in the foreground. Furthermore, the individualization and adaptation to existing landscape is possible without any problems.

Intrexx is process-driven. In other words, the customer must know and understand their own processes.

Low-code development framework for the creation of business software applications that can be realised in several weeks to a view months. The connection to third-party systems is partly solved with the help of ready-made connectors. Processes can be triggered comfortably, e.g. the automatic sending of e-mails n the case of certain events or on basis of other rules, which leads to automation.

The ease of use and the integration with other software is very good. It is a great platform for company internal affairs.

The branding of Intrexx could be better, it is not very well known by others.

Our whole intranet is based on Intrexx. Our team has developed several portlets for extended use of this software.

Intrexx is the easiest way to offer a portal service for everyone who has no skills in software development. There are many tools to create a site for internal or external use.

If you are a developer, it's quite complicated to host your code. A better integration for source control would be nice.

The platform offers many possibilities to "let off steam" creatively. From the simple share function to events, photo albums, etc., everything is possible.

A very simple and clear system. User friendly. Perfect for internal and external communication. Low Code is the key.

There's nothing I don't like about the system yet, as I am using it for 3 months now.

We built an intranet in our own data center in just a few days. After installing the server, it was set up with little effort. News, a dashboard, absence planner and libraries were ready with adapted templates in no time with practically no programming. The graphic workflow designer helped to map processes and the integration into existing systems such as Navision was done with no problems with connectors.

The choice to use Intrexx as our intranet platform was made because Intrexx, like a construction kit, already has many almost ready-to-use elements. The templates supplied could be adapted quickly without any code. After adjustments to the company's CI, the intranet was usable in a few days.

There was nothing to seriously criticize, but if I could ask for anything, I'd want "Skins" for more design options and a few more templates.

Overall a good platform we use for our Intranet and for digital processes. Not really low-code if you need complex apps and workflows.

Standard Apps are not useful. All apps we use have been programmed from scratch.

If the Intrexx functions are not sufficient, JavaScript, Velocity or Groovy can also be used.

Processes can be easily digitized and automated even with little programming knowledge.

The Portal Manager offers an incredible number of functions that can be placed in the development via drag & drop.

If a good look & feel is desired, a lot of manual scripting is required.

It's very easy to web-enable simple processes or forms without or with little programming effort. The more complex your processes are, the more you have to program yourself. Also it is very simple to integrate Intrexx into your existing environment, e.g. with linking Active Directory for your company users.

Intrexx runs on Windows or Linux servers or even in the cloud.
It is possible to create one portal for multiple clients and customize their look and feel and separate their data in an easy way.
My favorite is the ability to create a responsive layout for the portal and the masks with only little CSS skills.
Another pro is the fast and helpful support of United Planet. Additionally there is a very good online help available meanwhile.

There is not much negative to tell about. Sometimes the mail service is hanging up when the connection to the smtp server is broken. Then you have to restart the whole portal to get it working again.
Also the debugging in the web interface can be very laborious sometimes.

In summary, it can be said that Intrexx is an ingenious platform. Working with employees works flawlessly, and creating applications is quick and easy.

Intrexx brings digitalisation and collaboration to a new level. We are using Intrexx for almost everything from managing our documents to scheduling meetings.

Sometimes it can be difficult to use the search function properly if you're not familiar with it.

We use Intrexx intensively in our company for projects, internal information, and exchange within groups. We can no longer imagine central communication without it as a platform.

Intrexx is a flexible and easy to use low code development platform. You can integrate different data sources and build forms, intranets, extranet and all other kind of portals. The module share is a basic collaboration tool with lots of built-in features for chats, groups, tasks and so on.

The smartphone app lacks some functionality, especially the chat capabilities could be better.

Very good tool, but if you want to use more than the basic 25% it requires training and SW-development knowledge.

With Intrexx you can design almost every kind of intranet for your company. On a basic level it is very easy to learn and to design pages and subpages and even getting you third-party systems integrated (e.g. in our case the ERP).

On a more sophisticated level, you definitely need training courses and development experience (java and groovy) e.g to develop more complex site connections and request. For us it was for example quite hard getting a simple .xlsx-import running.

Overall, Intrexx is a powerful tool which makes it fun to use. A competitive advantage can be achieved for companies through the high degree of customization.

After a short training period, powerful company portals with a wide range of functions can be created. It does not matter whether internally between different locations (intranet) or externally with partners, customers and suppliers (extranet).
The advantage over "ready-made" solutions is the individual adaptability to the company and the processes there. The company does not have to adapt to the software, but the software adapts to the company!
Thanks to the programmability with Velocity and Groovy (Java), even the most complex scenarios can be created. For many applications, however, the existing low-code tool will be sufficient for the user.

If you want to presenting calculated data out of your data base in a graph, saving some files with comments or references to other data or sending weekly e-mails for upcoming dead lines, Intrexx does a very good job in no time.
And developing an application in Intrexx is faster than developing an application from scratch also there are a few templates and ready-to-use applications.

One of the good things in Intrexx is developing multiple application in one portal so you don't need 10 single applications on your system.
Another great feature is the permission system where you can configure who can see which application or use which button.
You can also create your own design for your intranet to get a focus of what is important and the best user experience.
With Javascript, Groovy and Velocity (and even importing Java libraries) you can do much more.

.. and there comes the contra part: it is called low-code development but if you what to create some applications with more functions than just showing something or add/save some data in your data base you will reach the end of low-code quite fast. Most of the time there is not that much to code in comparison to develop an actual program. But the worst part in it is there is almost no debugging function in Intrexx - it almost feels like coding in a blank texteditor - and makes coding really exhausting.
