Before Pimberly, managing data across multiple spreadsheets and systems could be time consuming and prone to mistakes, but now everything is centralised in one easy-to-use platform. Having all product information in one place means I can trust that the data I’m working with is always consistent, correct, and up to date, which makes a huge difference to productivity and confidence in the work I deliver.

    The system has really streamlined so many of my daily tasks. I no longer have to waste time on repetitive manual updates or searching through endless files, as Pimberly’s automation and workflows handle so much of that process for me. This allows me to focus on improving product content and accuracy rather than data admin. The ability to launch new products quickly and update existing ones with minimal effort has been a real game changer, especially when managing larger or more complex product ranges.

    The import and export tools are another area where Pimberly really shines. Whether I’m updating a small set of product details or handling a huge batch, it’s fast, flexible, and reliable. I really like being able to apply different filters to export specific data, it makes finding exactly what I need so simple. The activity tracking feature is also extremely useful. I can easily see what changes have been made, by who, and when, which keeps everyone aligned and prevents any confusion or duplication of work.     Pimberly’s DAM (Digital Asset Management) is another one of my favourite features. Uploading images and videos couldn’t be easier, you just drag and drop files, and everything stays neatly organised by product or category. I love how it keeps all media assets consistent and linked directly to the correct products, making the whole process of managing visual content effortless. Being able to see who uploaded each file adds another layer of accountability and collaboration. Exporting images and videos is just as quick and simple, which is a huge time saver when working on product updates or marketing materials.

    And I have to give full credit to the support team, too. They’re absolutely brilliant, friendly, approachable, and always quick to respond whenever I need help. Every time I’ve reached out with a question or issue, they’ve come back with a clear solution and often go the extra mile to make sure everything’s resolved properly. Even though I wasn’t personally involved in the initial setup, it’s clear how well Pimberly was implemented for our business. It integrates smoothly with our internal processes, and the support team often works directly with our IT department to handle any small fixes or improvements efficiently.

    There isn’t much to dislike about Pimberly or the service overall, as both have been great. However, from a product perspective, we’ve made a few feature suggestions that would make the platform even stronger. These have thankfully been added to the development roadmap, which shows that the team listens to user feedback.

    One improvement that would really help is more regular communication around the roadmap and upcoming updates. It would be great to receive updates on which new features are being developed or released, whether they come from our suggestions or from other clients’ feedback. Staying informed about what’s in progress would help us plan ahead, adopt new features more quickly, and continue learning and evolving alongside the platform.

With a fairly extensive product range, we’ve been able to structure our DAM efficiently by product category, which has significantly streamlined our overall process.

The only thing I believe is essential is granting the supplier access to modify the e-catalogue channel created for the BigCommerce integration. This would allow us to amend the attributes ourselves. That said, we understand this access will be handed over once the new UI is rolled out.

    Despite the import issues that Pimberly may have, it is overall a great product to use for those beginning to set up their eCommerce stores or those who are now looking for new solutions & products.

    Pimberly allows a seamless, easy transition from other applications into theirs, making the adjustment period much shorter for those transitioning into learning the Pimberly application. The mass editing of products and approval system makes it easy for anybody listing products to make changes in one fell swoop and for managers of those departments to ensure quality control is met before products go live. Customer service support from Pimberly is always fast and easy, with solutions for any problem that may arise. It is solving a mass editing issue as well as simplifying the listing process of eCommerce. It allows a much more functional and easy import into other applications to log such as NetSuite and BigCommerce, leading to a faster implementation of those products onto the website.

    There are some import hiccups when used with other applications like BigCommerce. Some products get imported incorrectly whether it be photos not being imported over, the text in the descriptions being messed up, etc.

    Flexible product with good support

    The set up and migration to Pimberly was well supported and an intuitive process. We have been able to set up integrations to and from external systems and get users up to speed quickly. Improvements could be made to the reporting and DAM side but overall experiences have been positive.

    From an integration point of view we have a reasonable amount of flexibility with how we get data in and out of Pimberly to our external systems. Integrations are quick and easy to set up and allow us to access the data in the way we need to.

    Negative

    I feel that Asset Management is one of the weaker areas of Pimberly, or at least in the way we use it. It can become a library of thousands of files with not a great deal of organisation due to the lack of options to sort / categorise into folders and directories. There is also a lack of reporting functionality

    Great Team and Great Software

    The Pimberly team was an absolute pleasure to work with. They believe in their product and the quality of their work shows that. They are diligent, informed and extremely helpful. They are engaged in learning about the businesses of their clients and it shows when they come to the meetings with very specific questions and solutions prepared for us.

    The software is very intuitive and flexible to meet the needs of our very complex foodservice business. The software offers more than just enhancement opportunities for product data, such as sales sheets, vendor portals, et. al. These additional opportunities will enable us to have a better sales experience for our customers.

    The Pimberly team was extremely knowledgeable and when our primary contacts didn't have the answer they got the answers and responded very quickly. They were extremely accommodating and easy to work with.

    Negative

    With only one pre-production and production environment we were a bit limited on how we could control the data as we created multiple schemas and category trees. This was not a road block but it did force us to look at our data differently to determine what were our non-negotiables in terms of how data is managed between systems.
