    Stay away. Far away.

    Summary

Anyone considering Wallace should think twice. They’ll take your money and hide behind contract clauses when they fail to deliver. We lost months of records and over $12,000. It’s a total joke. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I’m writing this because I’ve watched my uncle go through absolute hell with Wallace. He bought their DMS for his boat shop in Gloucester, thinking it would make things easier, but it’s been nothing but a giant headache since day one.
Setup was a total joke. They promised it would be easy to switch over, but they messed up his inventory, lost customer information, and the system kept crashing. It felt like the people “helping” us didn’t even understand how a boat shop actually works. My uncle has had to spend extra hours every night just trying to fix the mess they made.
But the worst part is the support, or lack of it. Once they got his money, they basically disappeared. You call the office and someone usually answers the phone, but sometimes they don’t. They’re probably on the phone with someone else. When they do answer, the person who picks up seems to have no clue what’s going on. Then you end up waiting days for a callback, if they even call you back at all. Support emails usually go unanswered. When you finally get a hold of someone, they act like they’re doing you a favor just by talking to you. They don’t fix anything, they just give you the runaround while your business suffers.
Because of their incompetence, my uncle was forced to leave them and go back to his previous software just to stay in business. Worst of all, we lost months of data trying to make Wallace’s broken system work. Now we have to spend even more time and money switching back and trying to recover what’s left of our records.
Don’t let the professional look fool you. They took a significant amount of money from my uncle and left him with a system that barely works and no one to help fix it. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. This place is a sinking ship.
For a company that brags about having “40 years of experience,” they handled this like they’ve never done a data migration before. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed us for “bad data” and “lack of training.” Our data was in good condition, and their training is just as broken as their software.
Also worth noting is what appears to be deceptive behavior discovered after purchasing the software. “Tim” from our demos and trainings sounds exactly like “Jack,” the owner, even though the business owner is listed as John F. Wallace. The “receptionist” who answers the phone also sounds exactly like Jacky or Jaclyn. If this is an operation using multiple names to appear larger than it is, people should know.
After taking a closer look following my Google review, I noticed some concerning patterns. One of the “5-star” reviews is from someone named “Jack,” the same name as the owner. Another reviewer named Paul appears to be directly connected to a Jaclyn working there. On top of that, the two most recent reviews were posted at the exact same time come to find out, it was only because of their Facebook post on the same day offering a giveaway in exchange for reviews, which is a clear violation of Google’s review policies. It strongly suggests the rating is being artificially inflated.
We specifically started this during the winter, our slow season, so we’d be ready for busy months. Now we’re hitting that busy season, and their incompetence has left us with a complete mess. We’ve already gone back to our old system just to keep the shop running.
