Overall, it is a good solution for document storage, both on the company side and the client side. I do feel like you have to be fairly savvy in order to set up new vaults and folders correctly.

SmartVault allows a seamless print function for our tax software. It also is extremely easy to print to the DMS. Customer Support is always extremely helpful.

It was be great if it had a document search function directly from the client listing page (in case a document had been incorrectly saved to another file). It can sometimes be cumbersome to add users to the vaults.

I am really happy with it, the client portal is easy to use thats important so they don't contact us as much.

We save a lot of time by directly printing PDFs to SmartVault. in the past we would have to print and send documents the hard way. now it is just few clicks.

The online portal and the desktop portal are different in what they allow you to do.

I have been using SmartVault for over 5 years, when I first started with SmartVault it was because Intuit decided to no longer offer Document Management System and they partnered with SmartVault, you could say I grew up with SmartVault, over the years they have added additional features to enhance and not only allow me to be paperless but now automated too.

Love the integration with my tax software, ProSeries and also DocUSign which I depend on immensely. With the Pandemic and having to social distance this ability allowed me to continue to work and stay in business. Also I can access my Vault anywhere including my phone so it makes it easy to retrieve information

Affordability and security. I was at first concerned about it I can afford it as a sole practitioner since the fees of others scared me, I was glad I found SmartVault with the fee I can afford with the security I need.

The tech support might be too busy to respond to my request to assist my clients immediately.

Overall, this works great for our small tax, finance and accounting office. The price is reasonable and the service team is there when you need it.

Quick scan and save, no issues retaining emails, customer service is responsive and timely, price.

Must make updates promptly or other issues occur with saving, not the easiest software to do an in depth text search.

Overall, it was very easy to setup and use. I really like being able to bulk-add new tax folders at the end of every year with preset permissions so we won't have to reinvite every single person to a folder one-by-one, and being able to export lists of our clients with the filters is also really useful.

I liked that it is very user-friendly and we are able to share folders with our clients without having to share every folder with every client. Our clients also feel better about sending us their financial documents through SmartVault rather than email or google drive.

There is no way to edit a document in SmartVault, it has to be downloaded first, then edited, then reuploaded. Also, the mobile version is not as easy to navigate. An actual app would be really helpful. There also isn't an easy way to archive folders, other than to create a folder called archive and move the client folders to there.

My overall experience with SmartVault has been great. I have not encountered any real problems and the ease of use and help center makes it easy to answer any questions I may have.

I love being able to share & store sensitive documents for clients. This product has helped to obtain documents quickly without having to be mailed and without the fear of documents being sent to the wrong person.

The only item I dislike about SmartVault is re-sending activation links to new guest users. If a user loses the activation link, because they did not complete it right away or they lost it, there is no way to send a new link. We have to delete the user and recreate to send a new link. This is not a big issue and does not hinder my view of the software, I just hope this will be an update in the future.

Overall, its a great document management system, it integrates with Lacerte well and it has helped our efficiency.

Can be a little slow at times, the folder system could be a little easier to navigate. Setting up new folders is troublesome as is hiding no longer active clients.

Altogether, It is an amazing app to secure and back up your data while managing it with a well-structured interface. I recommend this to anyone who wants to seamlessly ensure confidentiality as well as the management of documents.

We are very happy with SmartVault. Security is very important as is ease of use. It is also great that it integrates into our Lacerte software.

SmartVault allows me to share tax and other sensitive documents with my clients securely. I love that it provides storage for me and allows me to give access to my clients. It eliminates the phone calls requesting new tax copies when my clients can access their client copy returns at their convenience.

We had some difficulty with initial set-up. Getting databases brought in was time consuming.

Overall the application comes very handy as we do not have to roam with physical confidential and important documents, that saves our time as well as a better way to share documents in your business.

While saving and sharing important documents the only concern for anyone is security and with SmartVault i haven't came across any vulnerability in security.
Features like e-signature and cloud sharing of document ensures the authentication of the shared document which is pretty good and convenient for confidential document.

It gives pretty much everything which is promised. I found no issues as such but the user interface could improve.
